Brief History:Indonesia was introduced to eRepublik on the 22nd of November, 2007. It had a slow first couple of weeks until it had a major baby boom in mid-December. By the end of 2007, eIndonesia was taking the steps towards becoming a powerful country, and created its forums.

By April 2008, eIndonesia was bustling, and despite several dozen citizens being banned for multi-accounting, they felt confident enough to attack its neighbour to the south, eAustralia. Between the 14th and 17th of April, Indonesia managed to take over all of eAustralia. This led to another baby boom, which consisted of eAustralian captives and new Indonesian citizens. Later this month, eIndonesia was about to sign an MPP with eGermany and eRussia, but eSweden and eNorway attacked the two countries before it was signed. Indonesia sent paratroopers to the attacked countries, while it prepared for a PTO of eSouth Africa.

In June, eIndonesia attacked eSouth Africa, and eventually took over the entire country. Brazil eventually took control of the northern part of the region through an agreement, which has since then been mostly given back to eSouth Africa.

In November, eArgentina, part of the ATLANTIS alliance, attacked West Cape, eIndonesia, part of the PEACE alliance. This was done as a distraction from eIndonesia defending eFrance during Operation French Toast. This operation failed, as ATLANTIS was pushed out of France. eIndonesia went on the offensive, attacking and conquering Patagonia and Pampas. These were the last battles of World War II, in which PEACE became dominant over rival ATLANTIS. Eventually, eArgentina converted to PEACE, and regained its original regions. Meanwhile, in eAustralia, several resistance wars sprung up. This eventually led to the Agreement for the Independence of Australia, which gave back the territories of eAustralia in monthly increments. eAustralia has since then become completely independent.

By January 2009, the population of eIndonesia was around 5000. By March, one of the biggest clashes was forming between eRomania (ATLANTIS) and eIndonesia (PEACE). eNorway and eRomania were in control of eRussia, which they attacked before eRussia could sign an MPP with eIndonesia. On the 3rd of March, eRomania declared war on eIndonesia. eIndonesia was the first to go onto the offensive, pushing into occupied eRussia. However, after conquering Western Siberia and Northen Russia, eRomania managed to stop the westward push. They were the next to go onto the offensive, reconquering eRussia, and pushed into eChina and eIndia. For several weeks, there was an overall stalemate, with no two countries and their alliances making any significant movements. Eventually, this ended, and eIndonesia, pushed through eRomanian controlled eChina and eIndia while eHungary attacked the heart of eRomania. eIndonesia conquered Western Siberia on the 15th of May, while Hungary dismantled the western part of eRomania.

In late June, PEACE planned an attack against the eUSA. Wars which were opened during Operation French Toast were never closed, such as eRussia, eFrance, and ePortugal. On the 15th of July, eRussia attacked Alaska, and conquered it. eRussia pushed eastward through the northern part of the country. eIndonesia came onto the scene after region swapping with eJapan, allowing them to attack Hawaii. Hawaii was easily conquered. California, one of the largest states, was the next to fall, with eIndonesia creating a massive amount of damage within the last hour of the battle. eIndonesia easily conquered the south western states. Meanwhile, ePortugal attacked the south east, and eFrance attacked eCanada. Eventually, eIran, eHungary and the eUK gained several North American regions through region swapping. However, with eCanada wiped off the map and the eUSA reduced to one state, Florida, the two countries went on the offensive. ePortugal and the eUSA made an agreement, in which they got their regions back through payment. However, after ePortugal receded, eUSA attacked eIndonesia and eRussia. There was a slow push westward and resistance wars sprung up in both the eUSA and eCanada. While a stalemate took place, eColumbia region swapped with eMexico, and then attacked the eUSA in an attempt to distract them. This ultimately failed. The eUSA got the upper hand, and the epic second battle of California took place, in which eUSA one. eIndonesia finally lost its last region, Hawaii, and was pushed out of the eUSA. North America, while it took several months, finally got all its regions back.

In late October, eIndonesia gave back Western Siberia to eRussia. This region is perhaps the wealthiest region in the world, and defiantly one of the most important. The final eAustralian region was given back, Western Australia. Also, several regions in eChina controlled by eIndonesia were given back. While they have no wars of their own, they currently have paratroopers in the battlefields of Eastern Europe and North America.

Society

The population of eIndonesia currently stands at 9070 (there has been a large drop due to the retuning of several large regions through resistance wars). There are a total of 2910 newspapers in eIndonesia, however only one newspaper is in the world’s top 50 in regards to subscriptions, with a total of only 7 having more than 1000 subscribers. Overall, media activity is high. The society is largely military-orientated, with a large number of soldiers available to move anywhere around the world. With the many wars eIndonesia has been in, many citizens may be at a high level, while only being a citizen for a few months. Overall, the people of eIndonesia are very active.

Economy

eIndonesia is known for its high wages. The current average wage is 8.57 IDR, or 0.257 Gold. While wages are high, the cost of living is also high. Raw materials are relatively cheap, due to overproduction. Due to the high amount of wars Indonesia takes part in, there is a high amount of monetary resources that goes into funding weapons, tanking and other military services. The National Bank of Indonesia is their main bank, which contains large sums of cash, in a total of 39 currencies. Due to eIndonesia recently giving back several important regions through resistance wars, the economy has shrunk, but overall it is stable. eIndonesia has a total of 1949 companies, but had many more before giving back two of the largest regions in eRepublik (in regards to number of companies), Western Siberia and Western Australia.

Military

eIndonesia has one of the largest military presence in eRepublik. It has 222 Field Marshalls, the 2nd largest amount in the world. It also has the 2nd largest total strength and 2nd highest damage. eHungary is first on all of the above. eIndonesia is one of the most active countries in regards to war. There are always wars and battles to fight in, whether it is a training war or a real war which involved eIndonesia itself or one of its allies. They can be seen as imperialistic, having occupied regions across Asia, Australia, Africa, and North America. However, they have recently conceded several regions through resistance wars, most notably Russia’s Western Siberia and Australia’s West Australia. In most cases, eIndonesia is focused on helping the PEACE alliance in creating a better world. The Commander of the Angkatan Bersenjata eRepublik Indonesia (their military organisation) is Bolodewo.

Diplomacy

• eIndonesia shares borders with the following countries (in alphabetical order): Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, India, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia and South Africa. Most of these countries are part of PEACE or Sol, so these nations are friendly.
• Romania, USA and Canada are the three mortal enemies of Indonesia, but less currently Romania.
• eIndonesia, being allies with the eUK, have a friendly position. There is currently an MPP between the two countries, and the future continues to look friendly between the two.
• eIndonesia is defiantly one of the most important countries in eRepublik in regards to diplomacy.


Religious Presence

There are no major e-religions in eIndonesia. In real life, Islam is Indonesia’s main religion.

Languages

Indonesia’s language is Indonesian. However, many people know enough English to communicate with English speaking countries.


Your Experience

The Indonesians are very kind and hospitable. They are helpful and willing to lend out a hand. This is true for many situations, such as their help to their allies on the battlefield. They have strong influence, and will use this to help out others.
