Greetings Citizens,

It's been far too long since I've written an article, and I apologize for that. I figure I'd post after I got the nomination to run for congress as a Libertarian from the great state of Indiana. Soon Indiana will be more known for its great congressional leadership rather than corn, soybeans, or basketball. Granted I will promote Indiana's great corn, soybeans and basketball, since everyone knows we have the best of all 3.

Campaign Platform

Better Hoosier Healthcare
Most of my campaign platform is to get a better hospital in Indiana. Currently we have a Q2 Hospital which is good, because some states don't have a hospital. But I believe that Indiana should have at least a Q3 hospital. There is currently 1 Q3 hospital on the market, and I am sure during the next term there will be another 2 or 3 Q3 or higher. I believe Indiana is a strong active state and we should have the benefits of a high level hospital. During wartime having a strong hospital will cause for many military members to go to states with the highest quality hospital. While many may leave after the war, plenty will stay, and help the state become stronger.

ATLANTIS MPPs
Another one of my platforms is to support Mutual Protection Pacts (MPPs) with Atlantis countries. Currently we have MPPs with Argentina, Sweden, Canada, and Spain. We also have one proposed with the UK which will pass in a day or 2. Since these countries have the MPPs and they are Atlantis members I believe we should continue those, while gaining the MPPs with Romania and Norway. Currently Norway is facing the "peaceful" revolution of Russia, and if we have an MPP with them, we could have our countries mercenaries help the freedom fighters. After we pass and continue MPPs with those nations I believe we should not have any more MPPs unless the country becomes a member of Atlantis. Read my lips, a better tax plan
Finally I believe we should keep taxes at the lowest feasible levels to keep the country running. Recently many tax changes have been made to take money out of the system to stop the inflation we've been having. That's a good idea, but once the inflation is under control, I believe the taxes should go back down to the levels they were pre-inflation. If not then our country will start to see a rapid deflation, and that's worse than minor inflation. Ask any economic guru to explain that to you, because I am certainly not one. In my opinion, which can easily be changed by someone more knowledgeable than I, I think we should have the following tax structure: (Income %, Import %, VAT😵
For finished consumer goods (food, gifts, weapons, houses and moving tickets):
5%-99%-3%

For Natural Resources
7%-80%-N/A

For Government purchases (Hospitals, Defense systems)
5%-80%-0%

Don't ask me to explain myself in detail, but one thing I see is the government is taxing itself when it purchases hospitals and Defense Systems. Why? The money goes right back to the spender, so I think we should just eliminate this tax. That's the biggest one. 3% VAT tax on consumer goods would be an increase for some, but I feel that's all right. I own a gift company and a 2% increase on gifts wouldn't be extremely harmful to the already booming market. I think the income tax should be a little higher for Natural resources, because recently the job market has become inundated with NR jobs, and we need to eliminate some of those and get people back to producing food, houses, and gifts.

Minor Platforms

These are the platforms of other congressmen that I agree with.
Pro-Pie (Cake is oftentimes just fluff, we need a desert of SUBSTANCE)
Pro-Army (eUSA needs a strong, unified, effective army, no buts about it)
Anti-government programs (With a few exceptions, government programs end up being wastes of time and money, not NONE, but few)
Pro-Capitalism (Businesses that are given the ability to prosper freely will, those that are chained do not)
Anti-Imperialism (Because every region started sovereign, and no one should rule with hostility over others. I'm looking at you, Indonesia...)
Anti-Import (Cause no matter how cheap it is outside, it always costs more on the inside in the end)
Pro-Newbie (We NEED these people to keep our markets running and growing, so let's help them... but not with Gov't programs)
Anti-"Seniority" (Sorry, but if you've been playing in eRepublik for six or more months, great. It's a brand new game starting one month ago, and everyone started back off at square one. It's good that you have that experience, but it is of limited use, and if I have to hear one more "you don't know what you're talking about because I've been x y or z since before you were eborn, I'm gonna start murdering ekittens)
Pro-Humor (Because it's the best medicine, doncha know...)
Anti-Stupid (Hey, somebody needs to hold everyone to higher intellectual standards. This also applies to so-called "Goon" or "Turkish" behavior. I'm sorry, but baseless name-calling and offensive-lulz-farming is a big no-no in my book)
Pro-Hyphen (If you haven't figured out by now, the hyphen is the most superior punctuation mark, allowing the fusion of ANY two ideas to create a new one

Pro-Brownies (Frankly I love chocolate, and unless it's a double chocolate cookie, then it just doesn't have enough chocolate for me)
Anti-Brownies with nuts (What are trying to do choke me? A little caramel sauce, good. Some fudge chunks, better. But nuts? Come on, brownies are soft. Nuts are hard. Boo hard things!)
Pro-National Guard (Because I'm a Squad leader, and you gotta support the troops, especially when you are one! And you should be one)
Pro-Vodka (Vodka: Born general, tough and committed. At least that what they say about those who drink it)
Pro-Blue Moon Beers (including the seasonal ones, I LOVE HARVEST MOON: PUMPKIN ALE!)
Pro-Indiana (Duh! We Hoosiers are the best! And I don't care if you are a Fightin' Irish, Boilermaker, Cardinal, Jaguar, or Crusader. You are all Hoosiers in my book, because you were born in, live in, or grew up in Indiana)
Pro-Colts (Because Peyton is the greatest of all time, Addai's on my fantasy team, Big Bob is a monster, and our WRs will run circles around your DBs.)
Anti-Michael Lewis (In IRC it's getting annoying. And he's trying to find the least qualified people for their position. While I am anti-seniority, he needs to at least be in congress before he can campaign for president. I hope none of the PPs give him their support when he chooses to run in Whatever-Month '09. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, then you are lucky.)
Pro-Gangsta Rap Wars (But only in ML articles. We need more Rap battles, that don't end in the rapper dying.)
Pro-RAWR (Seriously, if Brazil doesn't start the RAWR soon, I'm going to start it for them.)

Those are my platforms and I'm sticking to them. Feel free to ask questions in the comments I will answer then with the best of my ability. And if any other Indiana Congressman Candidate wants to debate, I am game! I'll even rap battle, although if I do that I'll lose the battle, especially without my rhyming dictionary.
