Call the Department of the Interior! Order the new monument!
On June 25, 1876, Bvt. Maj. Gen. Lt. Col. G. A. Custer suffered a decisive defeat at the battle of Little Big Horn in the Dakota Territory. His adversary was the great Lakota Sioux Chief, Sitting Bull, who was later quoted to say that Custer laughed as he fired his last shot on that fateful day.

On June 25, 2010, eRepublik character George Armstrong Custer, late of the eUSArmy where he held the very same rank as his RL counterpart, currently a soldier in the eUSNational Guard, defeated the honorable Dave Richards of the Federalists in a contest for a seat in the eUS Congress to represent the Oklahoma territory.

And so, to Dave Richards I say, "Thank you, sir, for a clean contest and a fair fight."

And to the long since gone Chief Sitting Bull, I repeat my RL counterpart's previous statement,
"There are not enough Indians in the world to defeat the Seventh Cavalry!"
(It just took me a few extra years to accomplish it.)

In related news, I also won the Congressional seat for Oklahoma in V2 Beta.
Question: Does Congress convene and do we do stuff relative to V2? Does it matter in Beta?
Beta already let me know I won, I saw the Congressmen's page, and I voted on the Tank Tax Bill.

In my K-Mart crystal ball... I'll just bet you a dirty donut that Oklahoma is on the short list of US High Resource regions to be rented out to our friendly allies.
Question: Do the Congressmen of these regions continue on, hold seats and vote as usual for the remainder of our term?
