In Remembrance...
Today I write to you with sad news and a heavy heart.
I am writing this article for a dear friend of mine who passed away recently.

Marius "Scott" Coroleone
When Scott had told me that his injuries and illness were worsening I made him promise me to send me a message every day to let me know he was alright. When I didn't hear from him after 2 days I knew something was wrong and after 4 days of messaging him I received mail from his friend saying that he had passed away and to inform his friends here. I have been struggling with the words to say and how to tell you all of this deep loss.
He was an extremely important asset for eCanada, and to the CAF. Even when he was in unbelievable pain and suffering he took the time to come on erepublik and help out with what ever tasks we had to accomplish. His thoughtful dedication to both his erepublik friends and tasks is such a rare find, but with these traits everyone valued him very much. He was kind to his fellow soldiers, and always good for a laugh. He made #ecancaf always be a fun atmosphere. He was a great leader, and a kind soul. He was compassionate, and there for people in need regardless if it was erepublik specific.
If there was something to learn from Scott's passing away its to never take for granted what you have. Erepublik is a community and behind the gamer tag is a real person. If someone on erepublik has made you smile, made a difference in your life, or been there for you when you needed it tell them. Never be afraid to let others know how much you truly appreciate everything that they do for you. The people make this game fun, and losing a member such as Scott will be felt by the community.
I am ending this article with a song and a short excerpt from a poem by Scott.
When I met Scott I told him this song reminded me of him...
Flowers cannot show their beauty
While buried in the snow
We step on all their beds
But how could we ever know
So be careful where you tread
And cherish every seed
For each one holds the beauty that we all crave and need
I will miss you Scott.

I came to this article thinking it meant his citizen had died.
The news I find is much worse.
Both eCanada and the real world have suffered a loss.

Scott was the guy that would always go out to back up the people who we're doing something good. He was dedicated to helping people in the army. Even if explosive, I'll remember him as somebody who was always available when you needed him.
Scott would never mince his word, but he was frank, never would he lie to you. I'll miss you bro. You've learned me a few things about RL and that's unvaluable.
Today I check on the man CANADA lost, not eCanada, has he was much More than just a player, he was a human being that would have gone throught everything to make sure we would live in a better world.
I'll miss you buddy, It's sad not everyone is as coureagous as you.

I miss the days when the 12th platoon and the 4th platoon would always compete against each other. Marius and me were basically head to head in everything but we all had a good time so it was fun. I'm extremely sad that he has died. Canada has lost a great soldier, IRL and eRep.

We've lost a gentle soul. The CAF and eCanada will be poorer for it.
