I'm Running From Congress...No Wait, Running FOR Congress!!!

This is how I feel these days when I log on…Yesterday was, well yesterday. Nobody really knows what tomorrow will bring (unless that is if you are one of those few people who believe everything you read in the media). That leaves us with tomorrow – what will tomorrow bring?


Today I am announcing my official run for Congress, an aspect of eRep I have yet to be involved in directly since I started back at the end of beta. I have seen things change over time, have witnessed countless players come and go, and yet I’m still around. Why you may ask? Because I love playing this game. As simple as that may sound, I love playing this game.


I started off as a 2-clicker back in the day when the old Army was still the only game in town. Having gone through the ranks there I eventually joined with Leroy Combs and helped him start the eUS Airborne (which has continued to be a formidable force). Recently, I decided to rejoin my brothers in arms and take up another place within the ranks of the eUS Airborne. It was with this decision I finally decided to move into the political realm as well.


Now I’m not saying I am going to be able to make every change that every player wants, but I will tell you that I represent the common man going in to this election and going forward. Being a business owner myself, and having been self-sufficient in this game up until recently, I have taken a keen interest in the politics of this game lately. Understandably, our Executive and Legislative branches don’t have control over what the admins decide to write in code, but there simply must be a voice of reason representing the people – I am that voice. It still baffles me as to how the admins think their “work tax” is a fair and justified tax. It’s double taxation!! I get taxed if I produce RM or finished goods, and then I get taxed if I then sell the same products?!?!? DOUBLE TAXATION!!! This is just one of my issues I will stand behind, but moving forward I aim to find a way to affect a change on this game.


So it is with great pride that I announce my candidacy for the upcoming Congressional elections. I hope to see a great voter turnout (and no, I won’t be paying for any of my votes, RGR).
