I have a dream

I have chosen to publish this article in Slovenia as a sign of respect for the fact, that Slovenia is one of the few countries, which (up to my best knowledge) never had a a case of scandal for the past one year.

Well, my dream is to have a game, which is free of fakes, cheats, abuses and so on. This is one great dream pursued also by 98% of the players, but unfortunatelly the other 2% did enough damage to almost ruin it for all of us.

We trusted that the admins will have the wisdom to keep control of the game. But we can see that they do not know geography (see Galicia), history, game mechanisms, and they do not have a sense for businsess and for fair playing either.

So, should we give it up? No, not yet!

I have a dream about a world, where we can leave out the admins from taking the decisions, that annoys all of us. I strongly believe that the player's sense for justice is much stronger, than that of the admin. We should not let them do justice for us.

How?

My vision is to have an Ethical Standard, which should be accepted and signed by the presidents of the top 10-15 countries, both from EDEN and Phoenix and why not also neutral countries.

This chart could start from something simple, like:
-Presidents of the countries, which signed the Ethical Standards commits to refrain themselfs from exploting bugs and abuses (here comes the list of such abuses, we all know them)
-Since such exploits are providing undeserved benefits for the given country, all the Presidents commit themselves to refuse closing MPP with any country that exploits abuses, as long as those exploits are not reversed.
-Member countries signing the Ethical Standard are all eligible to gain protection from the other signing countries, while countries which are not signing it will be exempted from this protection. (Sorry)
-Each President after the Presidential elections (or after a successfull impeach) will pay a membership fee of 0,1 unit of the national currency as sign of accepting the Ethical Standards.

For the beginning I would be happy for such a minimal level of co-oparation accross the fire-lines, nevertheless later it should be further developed in order to also cover the fight agains Multies, DDOS attacks, Gold cheaters, etc. The deeper we go in details, the harder it will be to catch the cheaters and to identify who is taking advantage on them. I know, this is damn hard.

Yes, I know, that many cheaters will apparently act unrelated to any country and it will be hard to fight them. Still, we can stop chaters by not going for the faked money, or even by killnig our own "big families" with the help of our...enemies (I would not have a problem to deploy 10-20 of our veteran tanks on the opponent side and kill 150 out of 300 fakes)

I believe, that we may start from very simple issues. But for God's Sake, lets get started somehow!
We could see that it is no magic about it. If there are enough countries to sign it, than in a short time there will be no countries dareing not to sign it.


Being fair should pay-off. And we need to start somewhere.
