I Can Dream! If USA Attacked Serbia

Day 1,928, 12:14 Published in Canada Canada by Shoi12

Yeah yeah I know. This is really more of a 'What if' scenario than anything else. After all, with the American Freedom Alliance, a party of mostly Serbs and PTOers, infiltrating America, and taking up more than 30% of America, it would take a unanimous consensus from the rest of the nation to have this even be a possibility. And with many leaders favoring their current pro-CoT stance, which involves not attacking their partner alliance TWO, it's unlikely that this will ever happen. However, it's pretty clear that even though America has changed its stance, there are a few things that remain true. America still despises Serbia, and the non-PTO chunk of the nation would say with little dissent that they'd like to bash in some Serbian skulls from time to time. It's also true that while America is very connected to Brazil (commonly referred to as BRUSA), they also remain a very strong bond to Albania, an EDEN country, and remain the MPP despite the differing alliances.

It's a very vague possibility, but many nations within EDEN and other aligned nations hold a bleak wish that the USA will be a godsend and return, if only to beat Serbia with a stick and some Q7s. One of the best arguments for the war is that USA could do a lot more to help liberate their close friend Albania if they fought directly, rather than only helping out in Albanian RWs. The latest push by Albania to liberate themselves in Tirana fell 83-82, leaving many Albanian and American players alike wondering what if. And remember, if such a shift in power occurred, this would not only affect Serbia, but many other current powerhouses in both TWO and CoT. Let's see what would happen, shall we?

Note: this is not a prediction of any kind, unless it actually happens, in which case, bow before my psychic premonitions! Also, this is dramatized for effect and entertainment 🙂

The breaking news: USA, after another failed attack on the Taiwanese, decide to withdraw from the region, signing an NAP and, regardless of the official statement, admitting defeat. Americans, furious at their defeat and upset at CoT for not providing enough support for them, decide to fulfill their long-awaited desire, and NE Serbia. Serbia, surprised by the war declaration, gets their NE up, but not before America already has the initiative.

Serbia’s occupied territories burst in revolt, as RWs are opened in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Israel, France, Saudi Arabia, and Italy. Of course, Italy and Saudi Arabia are little more than minor drains, but EDEN’s other occupied nations pump out hordes of troops to help liberate South Dalmatia, Brcko District, Tirana, and Jerusalem District. Serbia decides to send troops to hold off Croatia, but Bosnia, Albania, and Israel all end up on the map. France is bound to its contract not to fund RWs in the five regions, but people fight for the French side anyway. However, America manages to keep the pathway open, and begins the first battle in Aquitaine.

Now, this sudden change does not go unnoticed. Spain and Poland both ponder whether or not to directly support their alliance member. However, both are bogged down, as Portugal and Canada hold down much of Spain’s force, and Sweden, Finland, Germark, the Netherlands, and France all have revolts suddenly pop up just to entertain the Polish. Saxony gives Poland a huge scare, but the Polish do manage to keep it in check. However, Sweden manages to regain territory, as does Finland. France, getting pinned for Serbia’s RW, declares the pact void as more Polish regions fall to French hands. The Dutch soon enjoy their four regions back.

Russia, long loyal to the Americans, follow their fellow CoT buddy down this new path. They don’t push their luck when it comes to direct conflict, but they eye the Polish carefully. Both the Polish and Spanish propose NEs on the Americans in defense of their buddy. Spanish and American relations, at least with their governments, used to be relatively solid, but have cooled considerably. The agreement to secure MPPs with both Poland and Spain had been to eliminate Serbia’s strong allies in case of an attack, but now that America has opted not to continue the MPPs, both nations have close votes for the war support. However, the lines between CoT and TWO have already frayed to an extent, and the surprise attack by America seals the two alliances’ separation. Both Poland and Spain declare war on America. And this starts the whole snowball effect.

Sweden and Finland regain territory and declare war on their respective TWO enemies. Without much Polish support, which is busily spent on America and RWs, Latvia and Estonia struggle against the Swedes and Finns. While Germark doesn’t declare war, they still see Saxony flame up like heartburn, limiting Polish support in Serbia and allowing other regions to break free. France frees itself and quickly declares war on the Polish for the rest of their territory, pledging their allegiance to the nation they granted the Statue of Liberty. The Brits quickly counter with their own declaration of war on France, pinning them for breaking the treaty, while the Irish declare war on Poland as well, seeking revenge for a previous wipe as well as to prevent the Poles from interfering with Canada’s liberation attempts. The Netherlands, no longer part of EDEN yet still strongly leaning towards their former alliance, are reluctant to attack the Polish, but instead support the French in defending against the British. Norway soon joins the war to help as well, in addition to liberating their other region. Russia also declares war on the Brits, something that had been possible in the past but finally comes to fruition.

Though EDEN and CoT despise each other, especially for the activities going on in the Balkans and in South America, with fuming hatred for the Serbs and TWO looming in the back of CoT’s mind, EDEN proposes a mind-blowing proposal. With EDEN’s minor nations returning in the Balkans, Romania and Turkey propose a ceasefire with Bulgaria, releasing Turkish regions in return for all of Bulgaria and a NAP. Soon, the Greeks and Macedonians agree to similar terms, as Iran and Russia finally settle their differences after a few more battles.

With little reason to cooperate or make peace, the South American wars continue, though Argentina and Uruguay make their way back on the map thanks to less American support for Brazil. Brazilian and Indonesian bickering eventually fractures relations between the two, and previous American campaigns against the Indos doesn’t help matters. Along with Australia’s case becoming more and more prominent, Indonesia is slowly outcast by CoT.

Ugh this is too much writing 😛

Figure the rest out yourself.

Well, shall I summarize this?

IF:
USA NE’s Serbia
THEN:
Poland and Spain counter-NE USA
RWs in Poland, Spain, Serbia
Liberated nations: Canada, Portugal, France, Finland, Sweden, Croatia (Balkan division), Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Israel
Wars:
USA vs. Serbia, Poland, Spain
Canada, Portugal vs. Spain
Ireland, France, Finland, Sweden (Germark through Saxony RW) vs. Poland, UK
Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Israel vs. Serbia
Temporary ceasefire between CoT and EDEN
Indonesia cast away by CoT in favor of USA and Brazil
^(or, you know, USA and Brazil could just leave and do their own thing, but what are the chances of that?)

Aaaaaand then I woke up and realized, right, USA won’t do this, huh?

*popcorn*
