Hy Brasil

Day 1,825, 06:00 Published in Ireland Ireland by Releasethe Krakken

Brasil, also known as Hy-Brasil or several other variants,[1] is a phantom island which was said to lie in the Atlantic ocean west of Ireland. In Irish myths it was said to be cloaked in mist, except for one day each seven years, when it became visible but still could not be reached. It probably has similar roots to other mythical islands said to exist in the Atlantic, such as Atlantis, Saint Brendan's Island, and the Isle of Mam. The etymology of the names Brasil and Hy-Brasil are unknown, but in Irish tradition it is thought to come from the Irish Uí Breasail (meaning "descendants (i.e., clan) of Breasal"), one of the ancient clans of northeastern Ireland. cf. Old Irish: Í: island; bres: beauty, worth; great, mighty.[2]

So what's up with this alleged hidden island off the coast of Ireland?

It got mentioned as coordinates in a alien encounter. But I read up on wikipedia where they mentioned that since the 1400 no-one has searched for it?

We have a similar phenomenon called the ghost lights whereupon you can see lights on a distance but even if you travelled in the direction of the lights you never get to it.

Well it was just interesting to me so thought I would mention it and perhaps search for better resources later on.
