On behalf of the SHIELD Organization, of the Brolliance. I, AngryMobMan, am happy to introduce to you new eCanadians the first segment of our "How To Be A Bro" new players guide. In this first section, we will be covering off some of the basics, as to what you should be doing within the first few weeks (15 Days), in order to obtain the highest possible level (Level 9 or 10, for now), which will in turn, unlock many features for you to use. Since, when you think of it, how useful are you to the eWorld, if all you can do is sit there and press the work button once a day?

Before we begin, I would like to introduce the "Wellness" idea to you, what it represents, and how it can be changed positively or negatively. So, what you see below your name on the left hand side of your screen, is a man (or woman), covered in blue lines, and a number below that. That, my friend, is your overall WELLNESS. Wellness is, in essence, your health in the eWorld, it can go all the way up to 100, or all the way down to 0 (at 0, you are dead, and must restart again). So, as I was saying, your wellness can be changed positively (It goes up), or negatively (It goes down), and it can be done so, in many ways. The most common way, is WORKING. Every time you work, you will LOSE a specific amount of wellness. You lose one wellness per company level. (Companies go up to level five. When applying for a job, next to the company name, you will see STARS. The number of stars represents the QUALITY of the company. For example, Quality 3 workers lose 3 wellness when they work, Quality 4 workers lose 4, etc..). Another way you can lose wellness, is when you FIGHT (You lose 10 wellness per "Fight&quot😉, and you can lose wellness from TRAINING. We will get into training and stuff later on. You can GAIN wellness, from buying FOOD (So make sure you have some in your inventory), from receiving GIFTS, or by OWNING A HOUSE! (All of this will be explained later on in future segments of this guide).

So let us begin, shall we?

DAY 1

So it is your first day in eRepublik? Let me be the first person to congratulate you, for you have made an effort -by simply joining your country- towards a greater eFuture for eManKind.

So, if you haven't noticed by now, there is not a whole lot you can do. But, with a few days of patience, and some small amounts of time, you can fully unlock all of the capabilities in eRepublk, such as voting, running in elections, owning companies, making articles, writing in a newspaper, posting ads, and MORE! But let's not worry about that for now.

So it is Day 1, and you just arrived. You currently have 0 XP (Experience Points. NOTE: XP is what you gain by doing certain actions, by eating food, working once a day, training, voting, and fighting. Once you obtain a certain number of "XP", you can then "Level Up" your character. Leveling up to a certain level, will allow you to unlock certain feature(s). For example, at level 4, you are allowed to "Move" around your country/move to a different country. When you arrive, you have 0 XP, and are at level 1.). For now, all you can do, is read the tutorial you are given (by your advisor, a useful tool. We will talk about that later), get your first job (in order to obtain money, but we will talk about the economic system in later parts of the guide), and upload your first avatar (which is a picture that represents you. For example, certain militia groups may have a uniform avatar/picture that you use. This can be changed as many times as you wish, but you only get Xp for the very first time you do it).

So today for you, the goal is to get over 10 XP points, which will allow you to level up to "Level 2 at 6 xp, then Level 3 at 10 xp", and unlock the ability to TRAIN everyday (at level 2), and then fight every day in a war (Level 3), etc.. (again, we will talk about the military module in later parts).

So how do you get to (at minimum) 10 XP? Well, why not follow your advisor (if you notice, he is always in the top right hand part of your screen. He will let you know about new battles your country is in, when you are out of food, when you need a job, or when you should train, ect...). The first thing you can do, that your advisor tells you about, is getting your very first job!

To do that, you can either click the "My Places" tab at the top of the screen, then go to "Company", or you can directly click on your advisor. Either way, you end up on the same page. Now, of this page, you will see the different industries you can work in. Choose one carefully. You first have the resource industry (i.e. producing Diamonds, Grain/wheat, Iron, oil, etc..), the production industry (i.e. Turning diamonds into gifts, Grain into food, Iron into guns, Oil into moving tickets), or the construction industry (i.e. turning wood into houses, into hospitals, or into defense systems). NOTE: I recommend looking for a company with 1 or 2 stars beside it, since that means you will lose less wellness per day by doing that.

After you have chosen your desired company, you can then go to your "Company Page" (From where you work from), and you can hit "WORK". Once you have done that, allow the system to process that, and you will be given money, for working! And CONGRATULATIONS! You have successfully gained 6 XP, 5 from joining the company, and then another 1 for working.

After you are done that, you will get a prompt from your advisor, telling you about uploading your avatar (your visual representation of yourself). Follow his commands/instructions, untill you successfully upload your avatar. Once finished, you will have your own photo, and 2 more XP! Congratulations. You have reached Level 2. Wow, in one day, you have already unlocked the ability to WORK, TRAIN, and reading next, the ability TO FIGHT!

On that note, do one last thing. Go to "My Places" and then "Training Grounds". Select "BASIC TRAINING", and hit Train. This is your very first day of training, so you should receive a lot of strength (Strength determines your output in battles, talked about later). Congrats, you have now advanced to 10XP, and have unlocked LEVEL 3, and FIGHTING!

Rest yourself now, don't do anything else today.

NOTE: Before you log off, make sure you BUY FOOD from the marketplace. Your salary should be 1.5 CAD or so, so no big worries about not being able to buy it. Quality one food is cheap, so go to "Market", the "Marketplace", and select the fields to BUY QUALITY ONE FOOD FROM CANADA. Once you have, you can log out. You are finished.

Day 2-3

Your second and third days will be really boring. There is only three tasks you need to accomplish today, work, train, and buy food. DO NOT FIGHT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

In total, you can get a MAXIMUM for 3 XP a day at this level. You can get ONE xp from working at your company (If you get fired, just find a new one and apply), and you can get 2 xp from training each day.

So, each day, do just that basic routine, sign on, check your messages, add some friends (if you know anyone that is also in eRepublik), go to work, then train for the day, go to the marketplace to buy food, and you are done.

NOTE 1: When you work, you will gain "Skill Levels". Every Full Skill level you pass (You start at 0, then next is at 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, etc..), you can apply for a "Higher Paying" job, which will allow you more money each day you work 🙂 (Talked about later)

NOTE 2: Try NOT TO FIGHT! It will drain your wellness out, and it is confusing at first to begin with. You may get some Bonus wellness, but it is not quite worth it right now.

NOTE 3: IF ANYTHING! DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER FORGET TO BUY FOOD EVERY DAY!

NOTE 4: JOIN THE eCANADIAN FORUMS! http://www.ecanada.ws/forums

NOTE 5: Talk to people. Ask them NICELY to gift you (such as your boss at your company, or a friend in eCan forums, etc..), since that will raise wellness more! 🙂

Once these 2 days have passed, you will have achieved a total of 16 XP, one XP over "Level 4", and you will have unlocked the "CHANGE LOCATION" ability. IN other words, if you are not satisfied with your current region you are in, you can buy a moving ticket from the market, and then be able to move as such. Make sure you are in a q5 hospital region (Ontario, preferably) in order to regain your wellness lost in battles.

Day 4-8

Now we can start to add a few more variables into the equation. If you have followed this process day by day as I have said, you will be level 4, and you will have the ability to move. If you are not already, buy a Moving Ticket, and move to Ontario, Canada (Quality 5 Hospital).

Now, once in Ontario (AND ONLY ONCE YOU ARE IN IT), you can begin to fight! (Woo!) So, without too many details for now, I am going to tell you that Fighting reduces your "Wellness" by 10, each time. Now, for now, just to not make things complex for you all, I recommend fighting four or five times a day. That will give you somewhere in the ballpark of 8 more XP a day. For simplicity sake, however, I will continue this guide as though you fought ONLY ONCE a day (If you fight more than once, GREAT! You get higher levels faster and don't need this guide), that is all. How do you do that? Simple, go to "http://www.erepublik.com/en/wars" (If you have already trained, just go to training grounds and hit available battles), choose a battle CANADA is a part of, and then fight away (HIT THE BUTTON ONCE, then hit "Return to battlefield", then use HOSPITAL. You will recover those 10/20/30/40/50 wellness you did.

Continue as you would before. After fighting, go to work, then "Train", and then buy yourself some food.

After all that, you will be gaining 5XP a day (2 Per Fight, 2 Per Train, 1 Per Work). After the four days have passed, you will be at LEVEL 6 (Passing Level 5 on the Second or Third Day). You can now send invitations to invite friends, and then at level 6... YOU CAN VOTE IN ELECTIONS! That means on the 5th (Presidential Elections), 15th (Party Elections. NOTE: You can only vote in these PAST LEVEL 7, when you join a party), or 25th (Congressional Elections). You gain a bonus 2XP for each vote you place, you can only vote once per session 🙂

PLUS! You also get 5 GOLD! Congratulations! I recommend NOT spending this right away, as you should save it up for later when you want to start a newspaper (2 Gold), or Company (20 Gold), or make an organization account (5 Gold).

Day 9

Continue on as you did the last few days. Fight AT LEAST ONCE (I say at least once, so you can have control over how much wellness you want to lose (then gain back). NOTE: You can ONLY GET 50 WELLNESS MAXIMUM BACK FROM THE HOSPITAL IN ONTARIO), then go to work, do your training, and BUY YOUR FOOD!

After you are done all those after all these days, you should be at a total of 40-60XP, which means... YOU JUST MADE AT LEAST LEVEL 7! Which now unlocks the most important feature for you... The ability to join a political party! With a political party, you now have access to a community of people that share your ideas/beliefs, you unlock the ability to RUN FOR CONGRESS (Unlocked Later), RUN FOR PARTY PRESIDENT (Unlocked Later), RUN FOR COUNTRY PRESIDENT (Unlocked Later), and VOTE IN PARTY PRESIDENT ELECTIONS! Joining a party, is a huge asset to an eLife.

Once you have made it to this point, the game can officially begin for you...

After you have joined your political party, went on to it's specific forums (If applicable), and gotten to know some members of that party, your day is finished (Of course, don't forget, at any time, you are welcome to sign up for a mask on the eCanadian forums, linked a while back).

Days 10-12

As said many times before, continue your basic routine everyday, update yourself in the media (look for top rated articles on the front YOUR HOMEPAGE), work, fight (Now, you can fight up to 5 times per day, as long as your wellness stays above 40. JUST REMEBER TO USE THE HOSPITAL AFTERWARDS IN ONTARIO), train, etc... It gets very routine every day, when V2 Comes, that may change.

After the second day (IF you have not already. REMEMBER: This guide is for if you fight ONLY ONCE per day), you will reach LEVEL 8! Which means you have unlocked another feature! The ability to open up your own newspaper! That means, you can start typing up articles (such as this one), to inform the general public about.. well... anything!

Of course, there is a cost. It costs you 2 GOLD to make a newspaper, and, as said before, if you saved that 5 GOLD, use 2 of that 5 in order to make your paper! Once you have made it, it is there forever!

From that point, just get creative, and start writing (Plus, if you are good enough, you may get elected into Writers Guild of Canada, where only the best writers exist).

Days 13-15

Your junior days are coming to an end. In this last and final section of days, you can obtain yet another level. Level 9. Level 9 again unlocks another key component to eRepublik for you. Of course, it is not as cheap as the rest. That being, opening up a company. For the COST OF 5 GOLD, you can start hiring people at a company you made, to start making money for yourself (Talked about later in the economic module).

If anything, during these last days, just continue to familiarize yourself with your surroundings... Keep training, fighting everyday AT LEAST 3 TIMES, MAXIMUM 5 TIMES (USE THE HOSPITAL), writing up an article if you have a paper, visiting the eCanadian Forums, Working, reading articles, and so much, much more (Oh, and of course, BUYING YOUR FOOD TO LIVE!).

After these days, what happens next, is up to you. Do you focus on becoming a skilled tradesmen in your company? Do you focus on becoming the next great politician? Do you focus on becoming the best soldier in eCanada? Or all 3? The choice is yours...

~~~~~~~~~~~~
With that I finish off part 1 of this SHIELD guide. Please stay tuned for PART 2! Which will cover off all the modules for you, so you know how they all work (i.e. Economics, Politics, Elections, etc..) 🙂
