Banking opportunity

A new initiative by the Ministry of Finance is a Commercial Bank. The public will be able to take out loans, which have to be paid back with a small intrest fee (5% per week, so 1 gold per 20 gold loan).

This bank is set up now, to ensure a smooth working bank by the V2 release, when the need for loans will (perhaps) be higher. Because there are already too many companies, there won't be any loans available for starting up a company, only for upgrading. The company will serve as collateral in case the user dies, gets banned or can't repay the loan.

Lower taxes! Awesome!

As you could all read in Karacticus' campaign promises, and my latest informative article ( you should totally sub + vote this article), a reduction of taxes was well underway.
I proposed to drop taxes in 2 steps: 1 now (already done), and one before the congress election.
I also proposed, for the first step, a reduction of 4 percentage points, so from 30% -> 26%, for all industries, except those that are now at 50% (which we'll keep the same). After some weeks, we'll see if we can drop taxes some more.
We still have a large expenditure (100 gold on per MPP, being one of the biggest costs), a training war comming, etc. etc.
Also, keep in mind that a 4% drop means a 14% drop in state tax income (mathematically), but only a 5.7% rise in player income.
In short, I feel that 4% is still a safe, yet significant reduction!

Benchmark

The current benchmark has had its time, and will be replaced.
So as of now, the MOF will not enforce any benchmark.
