Hellenic Serbian Party Introduction

The Balkans were for centuries battlefield opposing geo-strategic interests. Clashes that started long ago and peaked in the 19th and 20th centuries. Initially, the Balkan nationalisms against Ottoman rule, then among the Balkan states and finally the plans of the Great Powers in the Balkans. The first collisions formed the historical core of the Balkan states, the second set of territorial expansion, while the third divided the Balkans because of their membership in rival European alliances. As to the latter, let us remember the divisions created in the Balkans, two World Wars and then the Cold War.

Within this climate, two nations were able in most cases to keep very friendly and possibly brotherly relations. Two nations who understood that they have more similarities than differences, two nations who have decided that it is more that unites them than that divides them. Two nations who stood next to each other in easy but especially in difficult moments: The Greeks and the Serbs.

Before you ask what does all this have to do with a game you should consider that many believe that Erepublik is not just a game. They say that reality is not out of it, but incorporated in various ways within the pixels. In essence Erepublik is not out of reality, but is portraying reality!

In all the above, the social and political context of Erepublik could not differentiate significantly. As in real life, the fights in the Balkans are harder and stronger than all. Epic conflicts in Sofia and Constantinople (Istanbul) , Belgrade and Zagreb, Athens and Skopje dominated and still dominate the interest of the whole e-world.

The result is in game, eGreeks and eSerbs to be rivals. Whether due to circumstances or choices that both e-nations are completely in opposite camps. And e-military but mostly e-politically. Hard conflicts both in front and through allies have been many times. The fight for the bonus but mainly for psychological dominance over its rivals, has been hard and unrelenting.

Somewhere here is our initiative to establish a Greek-Serbian party based in Serbia. Some players who initially gathered in Serbia to take advantage of the bonus of the country have decided, after much consultation, and after we account all the above, to create a party and try to present our positions. Our goal is clear: Promote the Greek-Serbian friendship through the game. To show that the two e-nations who constantly battle against each other, are friends, regardless of the differences that separate them.That we have a friendship that started long ago and extends outside and inside this game.

Our party was originally created by Greek players but is open to all who believe that the friendship of the two nations is above any game. All Greeks of e-Serbia are welcome, but we want to invite to our party Serbs and friends who believe in ideas that we have. Also, friends of other countries who want to help our project.

PS: To avoid any misunderstandings and entanglements,we want to make it clear that our party is not in any way intending to do an alliance of eGreece with e-Serbia. Our e-countries are opposing alliances and we respect and support that fully. If ever there is any progress in this field,the decisions will not be taken by us but by the e-government and above all, by the e-Greek nation.

Also we have no intention to harm e-Serbia in any way. We respect the country that hosts us and help us with production bonus.
