Hey And Welcome to Issue 2 of the Heart of the Kingdom, I did promise I was going to squeeze quite a lot into a single article to keep it rich. Above you will see a Table of what I have posted – basically hold down Ctrl, press f to bring up a word finding window and type in the relevant code (E.G type in 01A for the Alucard Interview), We have decided to start accepting articles from small-time journalists, but for more information Read the newspaper part on becoming a journalist for HTKN. Anyway, lets get started.



Getting Down With the Bloodlust - (01A)


To Kick off the article I decided to have a interview with a person favourite of mine, And also probably one of the more famous people of eRepublik, Alucard Bloodlust, A quick rundown for those who don’t know him (as rare it may be) Alucard Bloodlust is one of the most famous Mercenaries to have graced eRepublik, Alucard became the first General of eRepublik in the South Africa v Indonesia war, and to date now has 280 kills (and rising rapidly with each war), So I decided to do a very quick catch up with him, merely because he remains more interesting than the average Joe. Anyway, less of my rambling and more of the interview.

"One question a lot of people have kept asking, what can you see the outcome of the current WWI being? When The Admin restarts it of course.-

War is often unpredictable. Romania benefited from the timing of the war. Former M.A. nations had been reduced in their military capacity by either complacence, the war between Spain and Port-xico, or both. With the elimination of the War module, many weapons companies are reporting lower sales because no one needs them anymore. It is likely that the winner will be the one who makes the preparations for war now while they still can. A military of hundreds of soldiers with Q4 weapons in their staches and Mercenaries in their employ have much better chances. That being said, my criteria for victory in this war is to be labelled as conquest for the Romanians, and a effective cease-fire without loss of territory for the Hungarians.”

Favourite war?

Most likely my first one: the U.S. - Canada war, or its amusing alternate name, the "war of nave’s toe." It was the war where I first cut my teeth, and it was the first war between two largely equal military powers.“

-The South African war was also very stimulating, and came a close second.


”We realise that there is next to no chance of you digressing which country, but can you reveal the most that you’ve been paid to fight? - No. I can say that I have been paid in the high-hundreds before, but I do not disclose amounts.”


”Is there any countries or people that you refuse to fight for? No matter how high the payment may be? - I cannot think of any off the top of my head; however certain users and countries are discouraged from seeking my services. It is not due to any ideological differences, but because they cannot, or refuse to pay a wage proportionate to my abilities.”

Greetings to our President err… Prime Minister – (02A)

I realise this isn’t much of a political update at all: Realised that heh? That’s because it isn’t meant to be, just a greeting to the new Prime Minister/President.

After a stupidly close elections (in which at one point votes were tied 100-100 between Rayf and Widdows) It would appear we have a new president Rayf Drayson
Although there has been some confusion due to slow updating, including a instance where the president was KIA sneak welcome to the new President/Prime Minister and hope him the best in the big office. with Rayf’s Userpic. Well now that all that is cleared, Hopefully our new president can sit down to a hot cup of tea and a plate of buttered crumpets.



The New Official heart of the kingdom opening – you decide (03A)

As some may remember, my previous newspaper, for a short period had a opening to it, which was short lived when I stopped making the articles, however I have come back and, had the most annoying decision – Discovery channel’s “Boom-de-ya-da” Song, Or the official BBC news opening, therefore I decided I may as well let you guys decide. Pick one, 1 or 2, A or B, Boom-De-Ya-Da Or BBC.

Note - I realise the Videos suck (Curse the "i love the ocean" women, the chosen one will be refined repeatedly for next issue) - also the videos will be taken down in , two days. So hurry up and vote!.

Want To Become A Journalist? – (04A)
I did say I would be offering to take in any small articles and take people on as, effectively journalists, so here is the deal. – If you have a interesting, relevant story and want to get It known – email it to me at Malcoventaul@hotmail.co.uk (Word written on the actual email, I do not accept attachments) Then just PM me in game notifying me you have sent it, if it is of a good high quality standard, Then I will discuss a payment for it (maximum of 50gbp). However.

- All Articles sent in Must be in STANDARD English, spell-checked and no net-speak (U R MA M8) etc.
- All articles MUST be relevant to eRepublik, otherwise you will be turned down.
- All articles must be interesting, “I got a q4 house” – is not relevant news that anyone cares about, “Perks and benefits of a q4 house compared to price” – Is possibly acceptable depending on how good the article is.
- Please, unless it’s a interview no articles that are over one page… The newspaper has to fit enough in as it is.
- Videos are accepted but they must be of a HIGH quality.
- You Cannot give this material to another newspaper if you have just “sold” it to me.
- I’m afraid anyone with a current newspaper cannot post material to me.

This may be strict, but standards have to be kept and the price is well worth it – earning 20-50gbp on top of your job will really put you forward in eRepublik, anything posted by you will be credited to you, and anyone who contributes high-quality material to me will have my support if they ever make a newspaper. You CAN contribute articles while in a job, posting articles is merely on the side, there is no catch to this scheme, it is merely to try progress people as writers and to fund people who do not have a high skill in a job but can keep up a rich and interesting article. – If there are a fair few requests you will be competing as I only aim to post 2-4 Articles a month maximum, thanks for your time and if you have any questions, PM me and ill reply ASAP.


EUk Forum promotion (05A)

I’m sure the majority of you have joined our official forums, but for those of you who haven’t, let me take a bit of time to sway you, the eUk has its official forums at www.erepublik.co.uk , these forums are comprised “almost” purely of Uk Residents (with the exception of a few diplomats and foreign freindlies), However – out of 1611 residents in the Uk, there is only 960 registered forum accounts, while it is nearly impossible to get figures on how many of those 1611 citizens are active, and how many of the 960 are actually part of the Uk, that still leaves a space of a few hundred to join the forum.

So why should I join?
Our forums are contending close to one of the best, and largest communities, thriving with post and information, there is the equivalent of 250 posts a day and rising, with 70,000 posts so far overall, with 15 new topics a day (or 105 a week OR 450 topics a month on average) – Our Country may not be the most powerful military (although we do come close), but we do have a contending most social and thriving community, with so many ethnic minorities of the community – And we always welcome more, more people like “you”, - newcomers are always welcome to the forum and accepted into any post, there are forums for each city, there are forums for each political party, off-topic forums, ingame forums, military forums… there are 24 Forums viewable to public – with many more forums that it is possible for YOU to earn private access if you work for it, and even more sub-forums, there are so many different topics that one, if not so many more is bound to interest you – So join today and have your say on how the eUk runs.
