Havoc Within Terra! Time To Break Up the Band

Day 1,682, 21:49 Published in Canada Canada by Shoi12

Great alliances require good relations between parties, good communication, strong military backing, and a singular purpose that unites them and prevents them from falling apart. Rival alliance ONE has mostly strong relations between each other, a focus on one battle at a time, powerful nations and soldiers at their disposal, and has a goal to keep the strong nations from battling each other. Sadly, however, what used to be a glorious coalition has become the disgrace known as Terra.

I know many higher-ups desire to keep the group together. But what's the point? Now that Brazil's gone, there's no one left in the alliance. France hates America now, and half of Terra is at least partially occupied (coughGermanycough). What's left? America, Canada, Cyprus, and Russia? Maybe Germany too? This alliance will cease to function, no matter how hard the supposed leaders at HQ try to keep it together.

Other than America and Canada being BFFs, all relations between Terran nations are at least strained. All of these problems, both within countries and internationally, are caused by a lack of leadership. See Ukraine and Moldova? Because of poor communication and guidance, one of the nations will surely be ostracized. See France? Because USA took Limousin without discussing it with France, they're seriously peeved. Even the US-Canada union is not perfect, causing major repercussions in the recent battle with Spain.

And even if we got past our differences, what's there to save? With Poland owning most of France and Germany, those two nations are damn near worthless, especially since USA and Poland have already started making nice with each other. Cyprus is cool, but they're in a corner of the map, more of a support nation than anything else. Russia has trouble restraining itself from attacking our EDEN friends, and with no big brother to protect them, Canada is wide open to a two-pronged attack from Spain and Poland. DO YOU REALIZE HOW WORTHLESS THIS ALLIANCE IS? WHAT KIND OF ALLIANCE CAN'T EVEN PROTECT ITS MEMBERS FROM ATTACK?

From a Canadian-American perspective, we must leave the alliance as soon as possible. It's just not worth having to beg for forgiveness from France when they expect us to save them every 18.6 seconds, or to plead Brazil to come back when they're already out of our reach in Terra. Leave Terra. We'll be better for it.

When making an alliance, you have to consider whether or not the nation is worth the inherent risks and problems. Thus, a country like Cyprus, with no risk and high reward, is a good ally. They won't get attacked anytime soon, and they can give us an extra boost in a pinch. But is an ally like France really worth it? You know Slippy from Star Fox? There comes a time when he becomes so annoying that you just let him die, or even kill him yourself. That's France for you. They've been little help, and they don't carry the weight they're supposed to.

With recent events and USA's NAPs with Poland and Spain, we should at least ponder an alliance with them once we leave Terra. This also helps Canadians; as Canada and USA are BFFs, Spoland won't attack USA's best friend. And Brazil is up for the idea as well, so we could regain a good ally in them. And if Germany's up for it, perhaps Poland would give back a few lands for their friendship. The possibilities are NZT-limitless, but we're restraining ourselves by staying in this pathetic so-called alliance.

We must not let our fear prevent us from glory. We have nothing to lose now. Terra is useless anyway, so we might as well leave, right? Let's make a new alliance, instead of sticking with a distant dream.

And if you're wondering which side to take with the Moldova-Ukraine issue, I'm pro-Ukraine. Why? Moldova has MPPs with FYROM and Serbia, our greatest enemies, while Ukraine is allied with all the friendly nations that matter. Case closed, Detective Conan.

Until next time, take care!
