Happy New Year! Join the MI!

Day 1,144, 20:10 Published in USA USA by Heather Fuchs

In the proud tradition of many Americans, I have already blown my New Year’s resolutions to heck. I resolved to write an article a week, and then, due to reasons beyond my control, I’m already late.

Oh well.

This week’s missive is a simple recruitment article. The eUS Mobile Infantry is one of the larger branches of the eUS Military and a great way to enhance your enjoyment of the game. We have an active IRC community, provide supplies for your daily fighting, and travel the world to aid our allies whenever necessary. As such, you must be willing and able to forsake party ties at any time, but thanks to the new ability to work from anywhere in the world, you don’t ever have to give up your job!

What most of us look like at our jobs anyway…

There are plenty of MI companies available to work for, ranging from food companies to weapon companies. Okay, that’s not much of a range. But the economy skill is all one thing again anyway. If you work for an MI company, you get more supplies. Pretty good deal.

You work for us, you get more of this.

And of course, there’s the fighting. Nothing says “DIE ENEMIES!” like a group of soldiers all attacking at the same time to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Or a group of people sitting at their computers all clicking “FIGHT” at the same time while sucking down some Mountain Dew and eating Cheetos. It’s the same thing.

This is the jaws of defeat, de legs, de torso and de head

Not convinced yet? Not 5 days old yet? You can always get your feet wet in the Training Corps while you wait to hit the requirements. TC is a great place to start any eUS Military career, regardless of your age and skill levels.

They eat this crap over there, though, so be careful.

So what exactly are the requirements to join the Mobile Infantry? I’m glad you asked!

They are:

At least 5 days old
Strength of at least 300
Battlefield rank of at least Lieutenant
Able to do at least 65 damage barehanded

You should also be able to check the military forums at least daily for orders and be able to forsake party ties to deploy to anywhere in the eWorld at a moment’s notice. IRC is not required but will greatly enhance your game experience. Plus you’ll get to meet n4n0 and find out that you aren’t the craziest bloke on the planet.

That’s all! So come on over and get started!!! Joining the eUS Military can be one of the best things you do in this game.

And now for a new feature (borrowed shamelessly from the folks over at the Training Corps):
Promotions

Congratulations to the following new MI officers:
Sergeant lisan12345, PXO of Bravo-6 (and possessor of a very fine TC in-game avatar)
Sergeant Rihonn, PXO of Charlie-4
Lieutenant ThePieman, PCO of Charlie-4 (and only in the MI for like a month! Must be the name…)

Signing off for now.

Respectfully submitted,
