Grain Market Collapses 33% - (Feb 2nd, 2012)
Alby
Suddenly and without warning, the Grain Market in Canada has collapsed
by 33%. What was once a steady price of $0.30/cents per unit of grain it
is now worth $0.20/cents per unit.
Farmers are shutting down production. Workers are being fired. And commodity
brokers are stuck with more grain than you can shake a stick at.
Expect to see some cheaper Food prices in the coming days/weeks.

Have you maybe figure out at what price is bot buying raw material now?
I'm trying to sell my raw materials all day, but unsuccessfully.

David@ The Bot Might be Dead. Its Free Market Supply/Demand fundamentals now.
If bot is dead I think prices are going to drop even more then.
Good news for consumers. Bad news for Businesses.
The bot can't be dead, not permanently anyways. If the bot dies, the game will collapse. Individuals produce WAY MORE than they consume personally, and I'm confident that the excess is so large that it would be enough to provide for those who cannot self-supply. The only remaining need for currency then is to buy gold to buy additional companies or energy bars.
I anticipate some massive gold and currency sinks, on a national scale, to be introduced into the game. Something like "Industrial Research Centre: Improve production by 10%", but it will cost currency, not gold, and it will have to come from Treasury as a motion through congress or something like that. And it will be significant, like $10,000,000 or something out there like that.
Military Research Centre: Improve Damage by 10%
They should do what Travian does and allow players to direct production towards a World Wonder which allows people not only on the same team but also in alliances to contribute towards a massive project that consumes a huge amount of building resources and troops. It would be fun to have other forms of cooperation and competition here between the wall.
But I do like the idea of mega-projects for the individual player (something more challenging that 444 enemies 'beaten'), though a team-cooperative one would add an interesting element.
For now, I will enjoy the cheap food since I am rebuilding and can use the easy fights.
I would say its unofficially confirmed, the bot is dead. Grain is now down 50%
No I'm sure the bot would buy grain at .09. This means though that the price of gold will drop a lot. Yay!
Good luck with you super well guarded 100 gold-worth secrets 😉 Hope they can save your behind cause otherwise I don't know what will!
it's like $0.13
Fight the Power Pazvante.....
As long as people keep trying to undercut each other on price for raw food materials the grain market will just keep on collapsing even further.
But stating the obvious aside, is there any way for a recovery to be made in the near future? Or are we witnessing a financial crisis with no clear way to climb out of the hole?
It's always been the bot.
Turn it on = the admins buy another 6 months before a Q7 is needed.
Leave it off = only the self-suppliers and Gold-buyers have any fights
