Join the new world

I honestly have no good intro to go with right now. So, I thought an allusion to most of us having to wake up an hour earlier would be good, rite? Key words being most of us; Where I’m from, the better part of some land out west doesn’t even have to worry about Daylight savings time. Saskatchewan, if I’m remembering right. And if those people were more interesting, which they’re not, I’d try to put two and two together to make funny negative stereotype about them. Unfortunately, unlike stereotypical Prairie people in ‘Murica, they are socially progressive, generally well educated and don’t talk weird.

So. I’ve got literally, nothing.

...not great, but considering I had no intro a minute ago; Lets call it a success.

NOW, TIME FOR SOME VPP MUSINGS

I’ve got quite a few things to cover today. I’ll be giving a shoutout to some Newly Elected Officials, a shoutout to some WTPers in Government, talking about the new Vote Team and finally; The Treasury.

I’ll try to be brief.

Longtime party member and friend, Cholan, is in Hospital for the next little while after a serious accident. I ask that all of you keep him in your thoughts, or prayers if you’re of that sort, in the next few days. The kindness and dedication extended by him through his work in making all of our game live’s more interesting and fun is something I respect deeply. That, and he’s pretty cool.

Congratulations to Gnilraps for winning the Presidency and The Wild Card for being the New Speaker of the House!

Clearly evidenced by the current blitz of Government Media and...well, Greeling, the Gnilraps admin is hard at work. I’m proud to say that WeThePeople was able to support this so-far successful admin. I mean, 11+ articles in the first 4 days? Hell, I think that’s more than WO put out all last term.

All I can say; Good choice WTP. I was personally skeptical at first about Gnil’s run, myself being rather against the grain and Gnilraps being rather favored to win. But as he showed in numerous campaign articles and his tactful forum responses, he's going to give us a good game this month. I’m happy to say our party supports him.

Notable congrats to the other two candidates in the WeThePeople primaries, Aramec and Tyler Bubbular. While I gave Tyler a lotta flak on his thread, I respect both of these fine contenders. I must personally thank them for putting their time into the most entertaining CP campaign this year.

Other congrats extended to the new Speaker of the House, The Wild Card. I wish him the best for the upcoming month. I must also congratulate our own Disco Musolini for getting the opportunity to serve with The Wild Card as a dSoH this month. Do us proud, Disco.

WTP being an experienced political party, it’s natural that some of our members find themselves happily employed in the current Gnilraps Government. I'm always pleased when I see this because civil participation is a tennet of populism; the main ideology of our party. With that, I gladly extend a full congrats to the following WeThePeoplers…

WeThePeople has always led the way amongst parties in media. We encouraged community involvement in media by calling out the rampant use of Voter’s Clubs and taking a stance on that matter that we still hold today. We encouraged quality, structured media through our rules giving Congress candidates who make media a notable benefit; They get to keep their 5g and stand a much better chance of getting into Office. We’ve consistently advocated for Government media, too; WTPers were some of the first to raise ire with the last admin’s Media Blackout. We also encourage our Directors to take place in the national media landscape. I mean, Triwolf, despite him being possibly dead, is still more media active than quite a few of the Party Presidents this term.

Now with the evolution of WIRED and WeRepublik, our dedication to quality media continues. Yet...another challenge has presented itself.


See those? Those, are high-end top 5 articles. The Top 5 media panel is seen by every player when they're online. That panel is the single most powerful tool for publicity for any organization and a proven tool for recruitment. While we may put out great media, it will not reach its full potential unless it reaches the Top 5 panel. Those numbers up there, are our greatest opponent at the moment.

In the interest of increasing our party's publicity, WTP will be forming the WeThePeople Vote Team.

The WTP Vote Team is essentially a collection of WTPers who want to be notified of any and all WTP media. They will vote, possibly comment and possibly shout all party media that comes their way.

The best way to make our party more successful is through well promoted media; Something the vote team can deliver. If you’d like to join, simply message this fine chap here with the title “Vote Team” and a message saying you’d like to be added to the Vote Team thread. Be sure to friend request him too.

You don’t have to be a People-er to join, either. Nor do you have to be online everyday or anything like that. This is a small commitment with big rewards. Not only do you help the party gain visibility; You help yourself to the VT contest that takes part every week. By voting, commenting and shouting articles, you could see yer avatar up here in one of these articles, get some cc and honorable mention from WTP.



After what is probably a solid year of service, Mazzy Cat will be stepping down as the WeThePeople treasurer. With that, the proccess of finding a new treasurer has begun.

For the next three days WeThePeople will be holding open consultation on who should be the Treasurer. Furthermore, we will be accepting new ideas on investments to make with the money too. If you have an opinion on who should or shouldn’t be treasurer, alongside some new ideas for using the party’s money, please write them all down and send that PM to myself.

The Party President and I will be making a decision with the rest of the Cabinet based off of your recommendations. Keep in mind, a vote could possibly be held depending on how this discussion evolves.
