Gnilraps for CoS
Gnilraps
Day 1,288 of the New World
Pfeiffer taps Gnilraps for Chief of Staff
"I'm so Horny the crack of dawn better watch out." - Tom Waits
A vote for Pfeiffer is a vote for the Party
And I can't believe I am saying that.
I have not been too quiet about my policy disagreements with Henry Arundel aka Pfeiffer. He's a Hawk. I'm a Tomato Farmer.
But he's running for Country President and hold-on-to-your britches he asked me to serve as Chief of Staff. Maybe he likes Tomatoes.
Seriously. I want the Federalist Party to understand what is going on, why, and what to do about it.
The job of Chief of Staff is not a Policy-oriented job. So I don't have to suddenly agree with Pfeiffer about, oh I don't know, how much money ought to be made available for Charity Programs in the eUSA. To his credit, Pfeiffer is not asking me to agree with him. I wouldn't anyway.
He is asking me to serve the eUSA by working to maintain Executive order among his Cabinet and Staff. He needs a Tomato Farmer. I got that.
The real point of this newsletter, though, is to explain why this is an important moment for the Federalist Party.
It has been a long drought for our Party in terms of National influence. Politics is often about momentum. Maybe it's too often about a lack of it.
The Federalist Party has some momentum right now, and a Federalist Chief of Staff … well it wouldn't suck too bad for us.
We are a talented Party. Seriously, look over our Cabinet and Staff roster. When I began as Party President I told several of our leaders that we needed a 3-month plan before we start considering any of our own for a White House bid. We are two months into that plan. Good timing Pfeiffer, thanks. I'll do it.
Pfeiffer knows well my desire to bring some of our talent into the National spotlight. The cool thing about it is, he is entrusting me with a job that will allow us do just that. I'm kind of jacked about it.
Doomsday prophets have broadcast portends of apocalyptic horror at the thought of a Pfeiffer Presidency. Meh.
Seriously people. There's still a congress (in which our Party has a growing influence). Most of the Pfeiffer haters just fear losing cookies. We Federalists just make our own.
I know Pfeiffer is going to be difficult on a number of items I happen to disagree with him on. I know this because every time one of them comes up in National dialog he is chirping in my IRC ear. Annoying? Actually...
Not really annoying at all. I kind of wish a few others would chirp my way. The fact is, Pfeiffer has actually taken legitimate interest in the Federalist Party. He is active in our Forum (where he pisses us off rather routinely). He has always idled in our chat (where he pisses us off rather routinely). He responds to our policy proposals (where he pissed me off recently). The truth is, it isn't really annoying to be pissed off. It means we are participating.
A Pfeiffer Presidency means that the Federalist Party will be participating in the National Discussion in a way we have not done in almost a year.
No Federalist has been in a top position for a long time. Let's change that.
Our Party is ready right now to start populating the national stage with talented people. Pfeiffer has offered us that opportunity.
So I am casting my vote for Pfeiffer/Lantrip in the Federalist Party Primary Poll. I think it is what is best for our Party.
Yes. The Federalist Party is running for Chief of Staff.
Gnilraps
Federalist Party President.

Yes. Yes he is.
Rod Damon was right. Pfeiffer is Wrong. 😣
Gnilraps, I think you'll make an awesome CoS, I just hope you don't have to sell out your soul too much to take it. I remember when I as in the "whore myself out to any candidate who would take me" mode because cause I didn't care who was elected. I saw it as a stepping stone. Granted Pfeiffer isn't nearly as bad as the people I talked to. Hell I was in the Scrabman administration for 3 months... Good luck!

Neither can I. And I never thought you'd be such an easy sell-out.
And I never thought I'd agree with something Emerick has said so readily.
Values > Jobs. Shame on you, Gnilraps, for letting him bribe you so easily.
If you want Exec experience all ya gotta do is ask, but jumping to the big chair without being in one past administration is a bit reckless and its a tad reckless of Pfeiffer to propose you for that position in the first place.
But we all know it was a political pick so whatever.
came to read a story about a sell-out.
If only Gaius Julius was still around, then you could be back on track.
Good luck with that
CROY GO AND I'M CEREAL ABOUT THIS!
Anyone but Pfeffier....like seriously...anyone.
I feel like you've been bribed.
Sorry, no vote. ;-;
Hate so say it but most of the respect I have for you is in flames at the moment. To compromise your standards just to get a job with someone you openly despise...
To say I am disappointed is an understatement.
We all lose when someone is picked for a position based upon their political value and not their ability. I have no doubt in your capabilities as a leader Gnilraps, but do not sully your political career with this filth. When you rise to the Executive Stage, it shouldn't be based upon your influence within your party, it should be because someone recognizes that you're the best damned person for the job. Not like this Gnilraps, not like this.
to those that are angry for him supporting pfeiffer and writing articles before our primary thats just because you dont like pfeiffer now if it was gnilraps as the pp of the feds endorsing pfeiffer anyways or campaining for him 100% than i would see your issue. was there politics involed in this? Probably. Could gnilraps be an awesome CoS? definitely
But seriously... Henry?
Party lolitics.
But srsly, lrn2PeterPrinciple
Seems like you can accept the CoS position without endorsing anyone, much less Pfeiffer. That's national service for you. It's always an option.
you should ask Glove for a position in his administration
slurp slurp
sellout
Thank you.
This loses you a lot of props.
