The past, present & future of Forward Bloc is actually incomplete without that of Democratic Party of India.

The inception of DPI, as Democratic Party of India is popularly known, goes back to an idea by two visionaries named Vigi and Gendun Choephel, the two eIndians built a platform that would form an alternative or the third way to the existing parties of India. The idea clicked and the Party succeeded in producing some of the finest eIndians. Unfortunately, the golden age came to an end and the party was dormant owing to inactivity of our Party Members and Party Presidents, and the loss of political identity to new emerging parties which presented an attractive opportunity for newbies and old players.
It was during this phase that few of us decided to revive the party with a new ideology, look and identity, one that Indians could actually relate to. But, without deviating from our original philosophy. And thus eIndia's Forward Bloc was born.



What is Forward Bloc?

One of the Stalwarts of Indian Independence Movement, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, resigned from the Party Presidency of Indian National Congress, Pre-Independent India's Largest Political Party. He had become disillusioned with the Moderate nature and the internal politics of the Party.
He wanted to create an alternative to INC, a party which truly belonged to the like minded people whose vision was immediate liberation of India through revolutionary action. A party which envisioned the idea of giving a normal man a platform to have his voice heard with a resolution "'All Power to the Indian People'". A party which embraced the philosophy of Left Wing Nationalism and dream't of a Free India eternally moving Forward. Thus Forward Bloc was formed on 3 May 1939



Considering the current situation of eIndia under foreign occupation, which is no different from that of Pre-Independence India, the Forward Bloc aims to give a platform to like minded people who want to commit their effort, discuss, lobby ideas and voice their opinion in bringing a developmental change to the Indian Society. A party of people in the Plato's world who want to see India grow and march forward towards a glorious destiny.


I gave an opinion in one of the comments in an article as to what problem does India face currently.

"Thing is we lack a clear foresight and consistency in our principle. We are highly volatile and that is something we ought to change. One govt. sets certain principle and outlook which is overhauled and changed by the next. This inconsistency ends up destroying our image and progress. And takes the toll on the development of the Nation.

We do need to evolve according to the change of circumstance. But this form of evolution should be governed by the mistakes of past and a long term future perspective; and definitely not by short term change in current scenario while ignoring the future consequences."

The first thing that the country needs right now is a proper plan and an association or a forum of Political Parties and MUs for planning and discussing the country's future.

The plan envisioned by the Grand Yogi of India Maniu, who even took a step further by inviting several Indians to the 'dead' Lok Sabha irc channel for discussing on what was needed to be done for securing India's future, is now going to be put into test through the revival of Rajya Sabha & establishment of Military Co-ordination Committee.

Rajya Sabha



Similar to the real Rajya Sabha also known as the Council of States, the Party President and one appointed member of each political party will become a part of this Council or Association of Political parties of India that will work independently from the Government. The idea is to create a stable structure that would not be affected by the change in governance and rather focus primarily on the future of India. The plans made by the Rajya Sabha will then be presented to the Government and Congress also known as Lok Sabha for approval and implementation.
An erepublik PM thread and an irc chat room would be started in this regard.
As the PP of Forward Bloc, when asked by Maniu, I expressed an interest in taking up the initiative. I'll be contacting the PPs of all parties shortly.

Military Co-ordination Committee



Similar to the function of Rajya Sabha, the MMC will act as an association of all MUs in India. The Committee will function through strategy, planning and discussion between various MUs for a better co-ordination and aide to the country and the Government. Each MU can have the Supreme Commander and a MU member as a part of this committee. Dranze R of Jai Hind MU, has expressed interest in taking up this initiative and will hopefully be contacting all MU Commanders shortly.

With this new initiative I hope that no matter how much we differ in terms of our views, we could collectively establish a plan for the greater benefit of the Nation.
