Announcing My Candidacy for President of the United States



Today, I am announcing my declaration of candidacy for President of the United States. After much consideration, I have decided to enter this highly competitive election occurring among some of our greatest Americans. I run not as an opposition candidate, but as one who has a different approach and a unique policy in foreign and domestic affairs. It has been an honor to have served in 3 former Presidential Cabinets (Harrison Richardson, Emerick, and Gaius Julius), and been a part of the decision making process in our country in these critical and crucial times. All 3 of these men have worked hard and endlessly for the good of the USA and we owe them all a deep gratitude.

I have served this nation in many ways. I started off as a Congressional Planner for the AAP, and currently sit on it's High Council. I have served 2 terms in the USA Congress. I have served as a Squad Leader in the eUSAF and Platoon leader in the Home Guard, and served in a few tours under the US Airborne. I have worked with Publius, Josh Frost, and George Barker on PTO and anti-PTO efforts before the official creation of the eUSAF, which when combined with vote work from the politics days, gave me insight and experience in working on PTO situations up to this day, with assisting in organizing the anti-PTO effort for North Korea. I currently serve as the Director of the Economic Council, which I have served under Emerick and Gaius Julius. As Director, I worked with the rest of the EC and Congress to lower taxes to the way they are now, allowing cheap products here at home and a healthy market.



I have chosen Cerb to be my running mate in this election. Cerb is one of the most trustworthy guys I know and a great friend. He has served in Congress and the military for quite some time, and has also been in 3 different Presidential Cabinets. Currently, he runs the Flying Unicorn Squadron and dabbles in State Department affairs. Within his party, the USWP, he sits on the Executive Board as the party's Chief of Staff. Cerb is known for reaching across party lines, and I know that I can rely on him for honest feedback and invaluable insight.

USA on the World Stage



We've had an inconsistent foreign policy in the past. Whether it be invading our neighbors or saving our allies, it used to be shaky at best. The collapse of ATLANTIS left us in an isolationist mode until the invasion of the USA, which has brought us and our allies closer together (especially Canada. Broalliance FTW). This war has completely changed our goals, the way we function, and our spirit. Never before have we been so unified, so tactful, and so strong. We have functioned incredibly well with our allies in driving PEACE out of the lands of our occupied allies, and now I believe it is time to drive PEACE from the neutral and weak countries they have conquered through brute force and intimidation. It is time we become the nation of liberators with the intention of freeing oppressed countries if they seek our aid. We will match PEACE's malevolent imperialism with the inherent freedom that every sovereign nation deserves.

Our allies have stood by us and each other since the beginning of this conflict. Some lost their land, others gave their entire nation as they stood with us. We have and will continue to stand by them to recover every region that has been sacrificed by our allies. We have seen the power of allies in this war. Without theirs, PEACE would not have been able to invade North America, Spain, North Korea, and Scandinavia. Without ours, we would not have been able to repel PEACE from North American, Spain, North Korea, and Scandinavia. It is in our and EDEN's best interest to pursue new allies among fringe PEACE countries and neutral nations. PEACE has built their empire on greed and intimidation; we will build our alliance on cooperation and friendship.

Many people wonder why the USA has not joined EDEN. The line of reasoning for this thought is that from a seemingly more independent position we are better able to negotiate with fringe PEACE nations and neutrals. I personally believe it is in our best interest to join EDEN and work together with our friends to bring more nations into our fold for mutual defense and cooperation. We have never been so close and committed to our allies and I would love to see us fighting under one common banner. If elected, I will hold a discussion with the American Public, Congress, my cabinet, and JCS to determine our stance.

Support our Troops and Take the Fight to PEACE



Our nation and our allies were hit hard in the beginning of this war. At one point, we were down to one region, Canada had a few weak territories regained easily from the UK, and Spain had only RW'd a small handful of regions, none of them major. We have since come back from that point, liberating all of Spain, 10/13 of Canada's regions have been reclaimed, and we are now attacking Hungary to get those regions back for our brother country. This war turned us from a divided nation full of partisan bickering and selfishness into a united and powerful force that realizes that only if the country succeeds, they will succeed. With the help of our allies, we were able to expel Portugal, Russia, France, Colombia, and Indonesia from the United States and drive Iran, France, and the United Kingdom out of Canada. The coordination and our will to succeed from the American public, our allies, our military, and resistance groups allowed us to push PEACE out and bring us to where we are today.

Our military is incredibly powerful, efficient, and dedicated. These Americans are our best and brightest and can never get enough credit for their actions. When we pushed Turkey out of Israel and Greece, we knew that we had a powerful and organized military force, one that our enemies have come to fear. As President, I hope to see the military grow with our economy to incorporate more soldiers and maximize our country's damage. Working with the military leadership, I will ensure that the Airborne and other military branches become more self-sufficient. The Marines are well supplied by their own weapons, iron and moving ticket companies. It is important to replicate their success throughout the entire military structure in order to maximize our effectiveness and minimize costs. This war saw our military go short on funds and I intent to take steps to prevent that from happening again.

For the last two months, our nation has been on the defensive. We've been fighting for our lives, our land, and our livelihood as Americans. We've been pushed back to Florida, but we have prevailed and driven out our enemies. Now it is time to take the fight to PEACE. We must not get comfortable and rest on our laurels. PEACE is regrouping, and rest assure😛 they will try again. If not today, or tomorrow, but sometime in the future. Furthermore, several nations still remain under the heel of the PEACE boot, and this aggression will not stand!

Better Citizen Education



Our players are becoming more involved and active, in that we are seeing more citizens follow DoD orders, enlist in the military, etc. However, as our borders become solidified, we must ensure that citizen education continues and expands. The Department of Education and other beneficial social programs must be revived and given better publicity. It's not enough to simply assign people to these tasks. We must make sure they have adequate personnel support, resources, and media coverage! The last component has historically been lacking, and my administration will focus on expanding the reach of our citizen education programs.

I also believe that the Department of Education should include officers (faculty/professors) who will each offer advice/support in specific areas of expertise. These names will be published as a list for citizens to see, so they know who they can approach with questions on the game. The DoE and other social programs can be used to encourage eUS forum registration and participation, which is another key vehicle in increasing citizen awareness.

Market-Friendly Economy



One of my greater strengths in eRepublik is that of the economy. We have one of the strongest economies in the eWorld. Considering that we do not have high iron or high diamonds, we demonstrate to the world that we know our stuff when it comes to economics. During the midst of the war, PEACE was able to tank our economy by using the USD won from battles to sink our peg. Essentially, they were making money off of us. They demonstrated the power of economic warfare when used against a country's economy correctly. Under my administration, we will employ means to counteract these attacks on us or our allies and use them to hinder our enemies.

The USA had a free trade economy. This is why we have such low prices on manufactured goods and savvy business owners. Working with my cabinet and foreign affairs team, we will push for more free trade throughout EDEN. Lower priced goods throughout the alliance will mean we get more bang for our buck throughout the alliance, and can hit PEACE harder on the battlefield.

New Infrastructure



The wiping out of our entire country's infrastructure save Florida is a blessing in disguise. We now have the opportunity to place down new infrastructure which compliments our company and population hubs, as well as serve strategic gains. The placing of the hospital in California is a great start to building up a strategic fortress on the Western Coast of the United States. There are other states that would serve our interests to become fortresses in the future after meeting a certain population, most notably Texas and Tennessee. Tennessee has High Wood, is in a relatively safe location, and a decent pop. Texas has a high rl population, High Oil, and sits strategically on our Southern Border. After our little incident with Colombia, we have seen that not even our Southern Border was safe with the NAP with Mexico.

Our wall and the massive battle costs deterred PEACE from attacking our super fortress in Florida. We saw how crucial it is to maximize our population into a few strategic regions, draining enemies of their gold to attack these behemoths. Hospitals must be placed very infrequently, and we should never place anything below a Q4. Defense systems should be put in place for hospital regions and vulnerable regions with a high native pop to boost the wall strength.
