For your Consideration: A Glove Presidency [EN/TR]

It is with great pleasure that I officially announce my candidacy for the presidency of the United States of America. I have survived the wrath of Plato twice now, and I would like to thank him. Thank him? Lol yes, as I have a tendency to run for president after nearly being banned.

But I am here before you today, you who have helped lead this nation through times of suffering and times of glory, to ask you for your help, one more time. We are one of the few nations blessed with such dedicated and innovative people. We have people from all over the world. Be you INCI, German, South Afrikan, Croatian, Romanian, Canadian, Russian, Bulgarian, Australian, or simply yank, you all make this nation great. We should treat each other as equals. The differences between us are little, we essentially are the melting pot we claim to be, and we are all united for one cause: to make America great.



This month we made some leaps. Grimstone, became president and brokered a deal with our bro Jazar (Brozil). This closed the war between South Afrika - Brozil and helped restore relations between the USA - South Afrika.

To the south we extended our hand of friendship to Mexico. Of course, this naturally triggered trolling on both sides, as relations have not always been the best. Mexico is not the strongest nation, but it certainly is a courageous one. Normalizing relations with Mexico helps close a war to the south and allows us to focus on helping our allies abroad.

To the north, Canada remains our nation’s friend with privileges, as always. We go in and out of each other all the time, I find it strange that no one hears the loud screams at night.



The United States has not always been big on alliances. We left Eden a long time ago and then sifted into a “neutrality” period. Of course neutrality is virtually impossible in this game. Those times have passed though, we are a member of of TERRA, an alliance that seemed uncertain at the start but that has now flourished into something beautiful. Argentina, Brasil, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Russia, all of these are countries I am proud to fight alongside with, and all of them help us without question. Sure, ONE is stronger statistically, but we have heart, diligence, and we can deliver powerful blows as well, no statistics can challenge this.



On the first day of Emerick’s term last month, the military and congress were at each other’s throats. Names were called, people were hanged, and ragequits were en mass. That was an especially dark time in our history, as people for the first time put forth their own selfish ambitions before the nation. However out of everything bad comes some good. We now have new military forces that have risen, but still, I want to stress, that one must do what is best for the nation, not what is good for one’s self. Behind each of these screens are people who dedicate considerable amounts of their time to this game, just remember that. Everyday I think of all the damage we waste, many times simply because of miscommunication because of old hatreds. Wednesday alone I sent over 43 messages to people fighting for the USA against Mexico - which was clearly stated not to do in the battle orders. What I am trying to say is: we have the potential to be even better, if you are willing to put aside petty arguments.



Our wars have been pretty good lately. When I was last president we entered 3 wars: war with Indonesia, Poland, and Spain. We did not lose a single region and actually regained all of out originals by the end of the month. The war with Spain has dragged on for the last couple of months, but mostly we have been on the winning end of it, having cut off Spain’s capital from the other regions several times, thus crippling its economy. This war indirectly aids our allies by limiting ONE’s ability to effectively concentrate its forces.

In regards with resources, we are well off, more-so than most nations. We have every resource except iron. Iron can be gained though, with the ongoing war with Spain.



I re-introduced interns the last time around. I thought it turned out to be a pretty good idea, as there was some quality projects that were helped out as a result of that. To me, an intern should be involved in a wide array of governmental duties, as interns tend to be citizens who have not yet partaken in a strenuous role. It is good experience and provides a great service for the nation, a good way to spot talent at the very least.

The last time I was president, I tried to find a blend between our aging population and introducing new people into government. For example Phoenix Quinn, who wrote for the WHPR brilliantly. Personally, I like taking chances, ie: Justin McCravok. I was pleased overall with the results, even if there were some bumps along the way. Right now, I see some more promising members of the community and would like to ask them to

join the cabinet.


There is only so much one man can do on his own, you are who decides the future. Thank you for your time, America.
