Dearest Friends, Colleagues, Acquaintances, Comrades and Supporters,
This is the second article to my campaign and I will aim to outline my earlier points noted in my first article in greater depth. I thank you for taking the time to read this article and if you read my first one, that one too. I am excited to be underway in the campaign and the support I’ve received thus far has been very encouraging. I hope that with you guys I can help lead this nation through the final battle that we have worked so hard for and bring about a whole eAustralia.
As in my first article there will be a short and a long section that will be available for those who have the time to read through the points in details and others who are more time constricted to understand what I wish to achieve without getting into trivial details. Thanks again.
Extended Version:
I will breakdown each section into various categories, but this will be hard as all elements of my campaign are intertwined. To begin;
I said I will deliver a WHOLE eAUSTRALIA and that is the centre point for my election. I will focus entirely on bringing back our regions to us and ensuring that at last eIndonesia and eChile are gone. We are finally in a position for this to happen, but we cannot blunder through it. Each decision, attack and strategy must be thought out and delivered with clear planning. There are details and plans already underway, but I cannot release these to you, I’m sure you understand why.
eIndonesia have always been a formidable foe and they will continue to be. We can only succeed by unity. If we work together, follow Department of Defence instructions only then can we win. I will endeavour to see DoD orders are precise, updated and constant for all members of the public and MUs to follow. For those of you wondering why we cannot just him them hard, it is simply because they are stronger than us, patience will deliver results. It is a battle of David versus Goliath so we must think through our actions and use what we have to our advantage. We are not alone in this battle.
It would be remiss for me not to make my position regarding the ADF clear. I have received many differing views about this. In my eyes I see three avenues to take: 1, maintain funding and supply to all eAustralians; 2, reduce funding and supply to divisions 1-2 only; 3, form the ADF into an individual MU and reduce government funding extensively.
Now, all three choices are viable and at the moment are on the table for consideration. In my personal experience I found the ADF to be a great kick-start for my time here in eAustralia, but that may be just because I was an army fan and keen on the ranks and the fun of it all. Moreover, it is also a good institution for promoting education and an informal sense of mentorship, HOWEVER, since my time of joining, a lot has changed in eRepublik. MUs were not around and they are key in shaping the military landscape. To some extent I am keen for the ADF to remain due to my positive experiences there, but I would only accept divisions 1-2 funding. For those concerned, supply rooms of #brostralia would STILL be open for eAustralians in ANY DIVISION to receive extra supplies when we need them to fight hard.
Then on the other side, part of me says that the ADF must come to reform and make itself into a sustainable MU like the rest, with little government funding. I am divided on this, because now begins a question of administration and who the ADF answers to. But alas, these are questions that MUST be done in consultation with the people of the ADF and in consultation with my cabinet and more importantly the people of eAustralia. I promise you the ADF will be UNDER REVIEW if elected. My decision however will only be made if elected, because as a citizen NOT in the ADF nor in the Department of Defence at present I would be acting without due information that could be acquired if I was Prime Minister. I hope you understand and if you require further information please feel free to mail me.
Foreign Affairs
Foreign Affairs will work in tandem with our Defence Team. Our battles for this term will require assistance if we are to succeed in delivering our regions. Therefore, I will encourage my DoFA to maintain and increase our relations with TWO, building our MPP stack and ensuring not only success in the retaking of our regions, but also our ability to HOLD our regions. I will not deliver a list of MPPs, because events occur during the month that shifts positions, be it incomes, alliances, friendships or national interest. I will however guarantee that eAustralia will maintain its international integrity as a reliable and cooperative nation by fighting for her allies when they call.
There is nothing revolutionary about these plans. I said that from the get-go. I will deliver a stable, strong and decisive government that will deliver on its promises of getting our nation back whole. I will work with our allies to do this, but it is a matter of give and take and patience will win out in the end.
Domestic Policy
I think have one of the best Parliament Houses in the World
I believe that domestic policy is closely linked with our foreign policy. If we succeed in our foreign policy of seeing our regions returned to us, naturally we can improve on our domestic. How you may ask?
Well firstly I believe activity will rise. There will be a sense of achievement and success for all of us and some hope in the future. New players I suspect will be more inclined to stay if our nation is whole than if we were hopelessly occupied. This is where education will come into play.
Education has and always will be important and the government must be actively engaged in teaching new players. But the government’s role can only go so far; political parties and MUs are instrumental in maintaining continued activity. This has demonstrated numerous times by many different leaders. So getting players to take the step towards a political party and MU is what I believe to be the real task. This can be done by the Welcome Message, which will be under review by my Minister of Education and myself as well as continued articles from the DoE targeted at new players.
Secondly, with a whole nation and increased numbers we can expect to have increased revenue. With this our government expenditure will rise, which is good all round for each department. But not only this, but new players and MUs will be able to self suffice and thereby delivering a stronger nation and a stronger economy. Thereby interlinking our domestic and foreign policies.
Thirdly, we have achieved a most successful senate term this month thanks to the amount of regions we have held! I congratulate everyone who worked towards getting us those regions and to everyone that was elected! I am excited to build upon our senate numbers but also to work with a fully functioning senate this term. I hope that together we can work together for eAustralia and I will endeavour to ensure senate are informed continually and consulted on big issues throughout my term.
Finally, I must quickly mention Immigration and Security to say simply, they will operate as per normal and all requests for citizenship will be reviewed and accepted or rejected as per standard protocols. Senators will be urged to consult with the Minister regarding their citizenship passes. As of late there has been some concern, I hope to remove this and instate an active and alert department.
Short Verison:
International Affairs:
- Defence: Take back our regions with patience and unity (details on ADF must be read above, it was simply too complicated)
- Foreign Affairs: A focus on TWO and ensuring our allies are there with us by helping them, maintaining integrity internationally, no clear MPP stack because we can never be sure what may transpire over the term
Domestic Affairs:
- Education: Promotion through articles and welcome message, promoting the role of MUs and Politics in ensuring activity, complimented greatly by our successes in retrieving our regions
- Economy: Can be salvaged (
- Immigration: Kicked up the ass to keep the baddies out
- New and Large Senate I am excited to work with
In concluding this article I want to thank those of you who are reading and have supported me so far and those who are posing some really challenging and insightful questions! If elected I hope that everyone will rally together and together we can send one message to eIndonesia...

Read the short version than 😛
Still too long.
I don't agree with your policy of scrapping the majority of the ADF. It is the only place where soldiers can get supply and be guaranteed to be non politically aligned, and that will follow the DoD orders.
There is no reason you couldn't look at daily stats and fund MU according to their damage output, that way you would be more effectively funding the MU and the people who are actually doing the damage. Less Bureaucracy and it provides funding for people who are not forum users.
There would be way more bureaucracy involved in having to check those sorts of figures regularly.
But at least then you are getting more bang for your buck, and less work for the player, less work for the Marshel only a quick calc and then distributing to about 6-7 people. the MU commanders would have to do a bit more work though, as there will be an incentive for them to reward the most active players, not just the players who sign in once a week. It also allows govt to better influence MU daily orders to match DoD.
I don't think it would involve more work than having to manually checking who signed in, then individually going into each persons profile, to donate.
I do not agree with your policies, will we have a ST6 MoD again??

😁 translation "put it in your tight hole" We have a very tough potential CP here, I hope you arent going to use this in negotiations with Indo 😉
Obviously I'll need the Bahasa translation for the Indos.

Finally someone who sees the ADF as it should be. You get solid marks for that Flatty. 🙂 Good job.
Um...
hey look at the comment above mine and tell me you expected me to resist. 😛
Fine I'll give you that : P
Voted, good luck Flatty \o/
V15!
Great article!
How many MPP's would seek?
That depends entirely on the income and budget, those willing to ally themselves with us and the current circumstances of our situation. It's almost impossible to foretell because we simply don't know. I will wait and see what the term requires before committing any funds to something that might change or that might be used against me by those who would seek to catch me out on breaking any promises. Of course, the more MPPs the better, it gives us more damage, but this NEEDS to be balanced against what they can deliver and how those funds might be spent elsewhere that is more beneficial. Reason is what I will use to determine the MPP stack and the number I will seek.
I'd suggest looking at the current budget to gain a better understanding.
Thank you Callumh, I hadn't thought to do so already... (sarcasm). But budgets change, especially if we are successful in taking back more regions.
btw the correct answer given the climate is minimum of 12. (Solid ones not the dodgy ones and you know what I am talking about.)
Actually the last few budgets have been very similar in revenue, it is all about how you use the cash.
Callumh, the last few budgets have been similar as we have had 0-1 regions, we have solidly gained 3 regions this term and the VAT income we earn on that I expect will go up significantly, and even more so the more regions we have.
Mickskitz, even then it isn't hard to think of a rough estimate on how much you will get vs how many MPP's you sign. 10 seems to be the magic number as this month it would still bring a surplus of 10k aud. Next month you may see revenue increase to something like a 40-50k surplus which could be used to bump the stack a bit higher. It isn't like it is going to be a huge deterrent trying to roughly figure out what the revenue vs quantity estimate is going to be and then you think of what MPP's would be the best benefit for eAustralia. Personally I can think of 14 but I will not go that high due to their being some uncertainty. 10-12 is a safe bet and the surplus can even then be used to fund eAus MU's with that amount of MPP's.
Not bad flatty.
ACT FTW?

"I promise you the ADF will be UNDER REVIEW if elected."
Sooooooo the same thing the last billions PM's have said? 😛 lame.
I'm a bit sick of the ADF being under review. It's been that way for the last 6 months or so now. :/
good luck!
Good luck mate!
I CTRL F'ed my name. Could not find it so I didn't read 😛
The only reason ADF is under review is that War crew is out to destroy it. ADF will have to get political if their is any chance of war crew's corruption to end. War crew is not the same unit as it once was. This country is turning into War crew against ADF. It shouldnt be that way. It should be war crew AND ADF against Indo
Incorrect there M.a.x.i - WarCrew is an individual MU and it is up to the position of the leader to decide what to do with it. If you paid 40 gold for it, you wouldn't like being told how to manage your MU. That is to say that I do not condone the actions of WarCrew either. That's not my place to make a judgement. BUT the ADF is outdated and it needs reform. It was established in a V1 model, the game has changed dramatically since then and the ADF has failed to reform. It's time we seriously went into it with objective eyes and reached a conclusion in the best interests of our nation.
It may be outdated but the government trying to stop funding does not help. If the government took leadership in the ADF it could become just as efficient as any other MU. And the only reason war crew is the best is that they pick out all the best fighters and are very exclusive. They are not top of the ratings because of good management as this government tries to make us all believe. I just hope that who ever becomes CP takes that into serious consideration
OK I'm not sure whether you are trying to hinder my campaign on behalf of binda33 or whether these are your genuine concerns. Either way you've been mislead on quite a few issues here. Firstly, the ADF will never become efficient because it will constantly drag on government funding. Efficient is self-sufficient, in that it self sustains without cost. The ADF is not that unless severed from government funding. I am not entirely against this. For new players (eg. Divisions 1-2) government should consider funding them via the ADF because as you say, there are exclusive MUs that leave out these weaker players (not to say they are not important, they are more important than any of us old codgers). The ADF has its uses, but it is not useful for Division 3 and 4 because those players can already get supplies in #brostralia (IRC ROOM) when we have large battles that need big hitters. I am not denying those supplies to anyone. But releasing it only for major battles will save the government excessive funds that will make our chances of getting our regions back even more likely than before. As for the WarCrew issue, it is NOT the governments position to become involved in the actions of individuals OR any private MU. That would be a dictatorship/totalitarian regime. Government is there to run the country for the people as a collective, not micromanage the role of one MU. Now WarCrew do NOT get government funding therefore DO NOT have to listen to anyones directions other than their own. That is not to say that they do not listen for battle orders or anything of that sort because WarCrew was founded on strong patriotic feelings and it continues to hold those to its core, like any eAus MU, we want to see our regions freed. At the end of the day this is what I represent: unity to remove eIndonesia. Binda33 has delivered too much division that we have no chance of getting back our regions. I will however deliver those regions because I do not fractionalise this nation but unite.
I am not trying to hinder your campaign and I am sorry you feel that way. I like the fact that you are trying to reunify the people as well as the country. I congratulate you for that. I can see what you mean with the ADF but my opinion is only mildly changed. I still believe that the ADF can achieve great things for Australia. But I respect your decision and if you get in I hope it works
That's OK Maxi. I hope by election day I can sway your opinion a little more 🙂
It's all well and good to want to save the Govt money, but in this case, the Govt would be losing our players to overseas MUs if they can't be sufficiently funded here. Private MUs don't supply enough on their own. You'll see that once Scottty's tanks run out in WC. I know that Henry is struggling with KH.
Binda are you not yourself in an overseas MU?
Um... for a start the War Crew 'incident' was a simple message to my MU. It was not an article, a massive broadcast or anything like that. It was a decision I made regarding my MU and what I believe is in the best interest in maintaining the integrity and keeping the spirit of what the group is about. We fought like beasts to remove Chile, if anyone can justify why the CP who got us wiped deserves our support I will gladly listen.... but where was Binda during the battles?
Binda, our ADF Marshal was off fighting for ST6 in CoT battles. she was not handing out supplies or assisting us at all.... yet she wants us to support her CP run? I simply will not allow that to happen. It is my MU and that is my choice. Members have options they can take, I am not forcing any to remain but sometimes people need to make a stand for what is right.
War Crew is not associated with the ADF at all, it receives no Government funding and has only been turned into a political tool by those on Binda's side of the fence who feel that I do not have the right to make a decision myself about what my MU stands for.
