Flatster4CP – Policies Outlined

Day 2,048, 00:11 Published in Australia Australia by AugustusX

Dearest Friends, Colleagues, Acquaintances, Comrades and Supporters,

This is the second article to my campaign and I will aim to outline my earlier points noted in my first article in greater depth. I thank you for taking the time to read this article and if you read my first one, that one too. I am excited to be underway in the campaign and the support I’ve received thus far has been very encouraging. I hope that with you guys I can help lead this nation through the final battle that we have worked so hard for and bring about a whole eAustralia.

As in my first article there will be a short and a long section that will be available for those who have the time to read through the points in details and others who are more time constricted to understand what I wish to achieve without getting into trivial details. Thanks again.

Extended Version:

I will breakdown each section into various categories, but this will be hard as all elements of my campaign are intertwined. To begin;

Defence Offence:

I said I will deliver a WHOLE eAUSTRALIA and that is the centre point for my election. I will focus entirely on bringing back our regions to us and ensuring that at last eIndonesia and eChile are gone. We are finally in a position for this to happen, but we cannot blunder through it. Each decision, attack and strategy must be thought out and delivered with clear planning. There are details and plans already underway, but I cannot release these to you, I’m sure you understand why.

eIndonesia have always been a formidable foe and they will continue to be. We can only succeed by unity. If we work together, follow Department of Defence instructions only then can we win. I will endeavour to see DoD orders are precise, updated and constant for all members of the public and MUs to follow. For those of you wondering why we cannot just him them hard, it is simply because they are stronger than us, patience will deliver results. It is a battle of David versus Goliath so we must think through our actions and use what we have to our advantage. We are not alone in this battle.

It would be remiss for me not to make my position regarding the ADF clear. I have received many differing views about this. In my eyes I see three avenues to take: 1, maintain funding and supply to all eAustralians; 2, reduce funding and supply to divisions 1-2 only; 3, form the ADF into an individual MU and reduce government funding extensively.

Now, all three choices are viable and at the moment are on the table for consideration. In my personal experience I found the ADF to be a great kick-start for my time here in eAustralia, but that may be just because I was an army fan and keen on the ranks and the fun of it all. Moreover, it is also a good institution for promoting education and an informal sense of mentorship, HOWEVER, since my time of joining, a lot has changed in eRepublik. MUs were not around and they are key in shaping the military landscape. To some extent I am keen for the ADF to remain due to my positive experiences there, but I would only accept divisions 1-2 funding. For those concerned, supply rooms of #brostralia would STILL be open for eAustralians in ANY DIVISION to receive extra supplies when we need them to fight hard.

Then on the other side, part of me says that the ADF must come to reform and make itself into a sustainable MU like the rest, with little government funding. I am divided on this, because now begins a question of administration and who the ADF answers to. But alas, these are questions that MUST be done in consultation with the people of the ADF and in consultation with my cabinet and more importantly the people of eAustralia. I promise you the ADF will be UNDER REVIEW if elected. My decision however will only be made if elected, because as a citizen NOT in the ADF nor in the Department of Defence at present I would be acting without due information that could be acquired if I was Prime Minister. I hope you understand and if you require further information please feel free to mail me.

Foreign Affairs

Foreign Affairs will work in tandem with our Defence Team. Our battles for this term will require assistance if we are to succeed in delivering our regions. Therefore, I will encourage my DoFA to maintain and increase our relations with TWO, building our MPP stack and ensuring not only success in the retaking of our regions, but also our ability to HOLD our regions. I will not deliver a list of MPPs, because events occur during the month that shifts positions, be it incomes, alliances, friendships or national interest. I will however guarantee that eAustralia will maintain its international integrity as a reliable and cooperative nation by fighting for her allies when they call.

There is nothing revolutionary about these plans. I said that from the get-go. I will deliver a stable, strong and decisive government that will deliver on its promises of getting our nation back whole. I will work with our allies to do this, but it is a matter of give and take and patience will win out in the end.

Domestic Policy

I think have one of the best Parliament Houses in the World

I believe that domestic policy is closely linked with our foreign policy. If we succeed in our foreign policy of seeing our regions returned to us, naturally we can improve on our domestic. How you may ask?

Well firstly I believe activity will rise. There will be a sense of achievement and success for all of us and some hope in the future. New players I suspect will be more inclined to stay if our nation is whole than if we were hopelessly occupied. This is where education will come into play.

Education has and always will be important and the government must be actively engaged in teaching new players. But the government’s role can only go so far; political parties and MUs are instrumental in maintaining continued activity. This has demonstrated numerous times by many different leaders. So getting players to take the step towards a political party and MU is what I believe to be the real task. This can be done by the Welcome Message, which will be under review by my Minister of Education and myself as well as continued articles from the DoE targeted at new players.

Secondly, with a whole nation and increased numbers we can expect to have increased revenue. With this our government expenditure will rise, which is good all round for each department. But not only this, but new players and MUs will be able to self suffice and thereby delivering a stronger nation and a stronger economy. Thereby interlinking our domestic and foreign policies.

Thirdly, we have achieved a most successful senate term this month thanks to the amount of regions we have held! I congratulate everyone who worked towards getting us those regions and to everyone that was elected! I am excited to build upon our senate numbers but also to work with a fully functioning senate this term. I hope that together we can work together for eAustralia and I will endeavour to ensure senate are informed continually and consulted on big issues throughout my term.

Finally, I must quickly mention Immigration and Security to say simply, they will operate as per normal and all requests for citizenship will be reviewed and accepted or rejected as per standard protocols. Senators will be urged to consult with the Minister regarding their citizenship passes. As of late there has been some concern, I hope to remove this and instate an active and alert department.

Short Verison:

International Affairs:
- Defence: Take back our regions with patience and unity (details on ADF must be read above, it was simply too complicated)
- Foreign Affairs: A focus on TWO and ensuring our allies are there with us by helping them, maintaining integrity internationally, no clear MPP stack because we can never be sure what may transpire over the term

Domestic Affairs:
- Education: Promotion through articles and welcome message, promoting the role of MUs and Politics in ensuring activity, complimented greatly by our successes in retrieving our regions
- Economy: Can be salvaged (if Plato gets his head out of his ass) by getting our regions back and giving more RMs for individuals and MUs alike to be more sufficient and become stronger
- Immigration: Kicked up the ass to keep the baddies out
- New and Large Senate I am excited to work with

In concluding this article I want to thank those of you who are reading and have supported me so far and those who are posing some really challenging and insightful questions! If elected I hope that everyone will rally together and together we can send one message to eIndonesia...
