First Treasure Map
Okay, so I just got my first treasure map for finishing the Hard Worker achievement and walked away with 4.44 gold. Half a gold less than the old standard, but I'm not actually that upset, because the way I see it is that Gold for achievements is an additional bonus that eRepublik doesn't have to give out. I know a lot of people want a 5 gold average out of treasure maps, but I think the new system is a fantastic idea. Who doesn't like going out on a treasure hunt? Sure you might not get as much as you'd get if you worked for an agreed amount, but I think the thrill of the hunt is worth that extra half gold piece. The idea that you're going out and might unearth the treasure of the kings of the old world...exciting.
Or maybe it's just me. But anyhow I love the treasure maps. Can hardly wait for the next one.

I got 3.13 Gold. Hardly worth fair It be really cool if there were some jackpot maps out there. Some that give 10 or 20 gold.

The 3g maps are awful. We used to be able to tell noobs that they could pretty much expect to get a Q1 house and a newspaper with their lv 6 gold—guaranteed, if they used a referral (because double the gold).
Nowadays I just resign myself to throwing some spare change at them like a cranky old fart.
I just got hit with a 3.6 map. That was a little disappointing.
