Financial issues.
Greetings.
I have not addressed the public in quite some time. However as a new Irish citizen I feel compelled to address a major issue.
The IEP.
While I understand the need to tax us heavily to pay for wars and lulz. Why has the government not focused on raising the value of the IEP as a counterbalance?
The problem lies with free printing of currency without a sound monetary policy.
The current state of the money market is easy enough to read.
The IEP does not have enough velocity to compensate for the amount in circulation. Thus it stagnates and remains at a low rate of exchange while predatory gold speculation occurs on the other side of the equation.
A contraction of the M1 should be taken by the Reserve Bank and concerned capitalists immediately.

First denied. Also raise the IEP to .002.
I'm no expert on the economy, but my understanding is that the tools aren't in place (game mechanics wise) to have any kind of meaningful monetary policy. It isn't an Irish administrative issue, it's a international problem. Last I've heard, Ireland is actually doing relatively well value wise for the IEP.
I could be wrong, thats just my two cents.
Also, I'm not sure we ever recovered form that romanian PTO all those years ago. In the beginning the IEP was one of if not the strongest currency in the game.
We havent printed a single IEP since the UK war began. During all that time:
Every Resistance War we started destroyed 10,000IEP
Every MPP we signed destroyed 10,00IEP
Ever stop to count up how much we destroyed?
I stopped counting after 2million. That was ago.
We destroyed 220,000IEP LAST MONTH ALONE, just on MPPs
And we haven't even mentioned IEP destroyed by land RM company purchases.
Yet the amount of IEP in circulation keeps expanding.
The question is not how do we control the circulation. That's impossible.
The question is how do we best deal with the situation.
game mechanics are lousy :S
I disagree MUFC, game mechanics are wonderful if you're willing to accommodate them to get the most out of the game
Sweet always manages to depress me. :]
The aspects of this game that depress me. Politics & Finance
The first it seems everybody is corrupt
The second - seems too much like work
