Fighting! I'm Doing It Wrong?
darlosworld
So just to reiterate I've come back to eRepublik from a break and am trying to get back into the swing of things. For the most part I'm getting on fine, even where features have changed and various wikis and so on haven't been updated.
But when it comes to fighting there is something that is confusing me.
Why am I getting so damn knackered?
On all help files I've found it says that each time you hit the fight button it costs 10 energy. I accept that these were written for beginers and very low level players, therefore when you level up the amount of energy used might also increase. But I just wish it would be consistant.
I have 500 energy, well, the capability of having 500 energy. But today in the resistance war the amount of energy used varied between 30 and 50 (always a multiple of 10). Is energy use documented anywhere for non-beginner levels?
Or am I just missing something really daft?

The energy you need to take down an enemy depends on how strong the enemy is and what weapon shows up.
Ah, I see. Thanks 🙂 (just got stung by a 100 taker >_
I was as much surprised as you are with the new battle system when I came back from my break.
If I am correct, when you fight, you fight to the "death", either yours or your opponent's.
Therefore when in the old times you had to click several times to defeat your ennemy, now you just click once and you lose the amount of energy needed to defeat your ennemy. Same goes for the weapons and their utilizations.
Ex: if you need 5 hits to kill, you lose 50energy and a weapong lv5 by clicking once.
That makes sense, cheers Necato.
you should invest in q7 weapons then you don't lose that much energy
Yes, the wiki is out of date. They used to require you click Fight once for every ten energy used, but they changed it to "Fight to the death" with each click so that fights would be quicker and players would buy more Gold. (That's the theory...)

Looks like it is in the wiki after all, though a bit awkward to find.
