Farewell to Italy, Macedonia?

After a period of numerous defeats Macedonians were finally able to extend their reach in eRepublik. Their first goal was to conquer Albanian territories, they succeeded in that and then went onto Italy. The first days were quite successful for them, but then the bad news came. Several EDEN and Terra countries declared war on this Balkan superpower, although it was expected that the opposing alliance wouldn't just watch how Macedonians are advancing through the Apenine peninsula and they did not. It's hard to say what Macedonians can expect, but anything else than a full deletion would be a surprise. Their chances may lay in the fact that if they isolate their Italian regions from enemy reach, so that would mean the Croatian one, they may stand a chance, although that is easier said than done. At this very given moment Macedonia is doing quite well in the resistance wars, but that will soon change when the natural enemy laws get accepted in the EDEN and Terra countries. An outstanding 5 countries will have a war against Macedonia in few hours, which is almost a mission impossible for every country to defend itself from. The facts are obvious, EDEN and Terra are a bit stronger, well organized and have mutual cooperation, something that ONE is missing.


Macedonia has quite some problems ahead of her. Many EDEN and Terra countries decided to declare war on her, grim times indeed.

Greece will have no difficulties in conquering original Macedonian regions
For Macedonia at this very given moment managing its own original regions is a matter of no importance. Simply said they will just focus on Italian regions and try to expand their influence onto France if they succeed in Italy. But that sounds more or less like a good dream, the bad nightmare is just about to start, Macedonia will need a lot more than just luck to defend itself from the attack of all 5 EDEN countries.


More or less Greece will have an easy task ahead of her while conquering original Macedonian regions, we can assume that they won't be of any important to Macedonia.

The attack from Greece is only a matter of time when it will succeed. We can expect that the mentioned country will use all the needed time to maintain the war bonus it will get from the natural enemy law.

Croatia targeting Apulia
After losing the last region in Italy, Tuscany, Croatia will again seek its way back into the "boot country". Macedonia will surely get attacked via Croats in Apulia and with possible success, they will then focus on the rest of Macedonian regions in Italy. After getting rid of Serbia from the Italian peninsula, Croatia eventually lost all of its colonies there.


The main threat Macedonia will face is the Croatian attack.

Frenchies aware of the danger Macedonia represents
Months and months of living under the Polish occupation took its toil. France does not want to repeat it all and is these days being more decisive than it used to be in its history. The western European country decided to declare war on the Macedonian side without a hesitation, which is a right move without a doubt. Although I am still asking myself why Macedonia went on to attack Liguria, from a bystander's view Macedonia could be regarded as quite greedy and not prepared to listen to an ally's opinion. It is well known that Liguria is part of the deal Slovenia made with Italy, some say that the foreign minister of Macedonia told the Macedonian president to leave the northern part to Slovenians, the words had no influence it seems.


France decided not to repeat the mistake with Poland and without hesitation propose the natural enemy law on Macedonia.

And even if Liguria falls to Macedonian hands, it will more or less make things even more difficult to them as France would have 2 ways to attack Macedonians regions in Italy. Foolish move all together.

Macedonia is all alone yet again, allies in difficulties
Even if Macedonians may expect help from their allies, it's almost an illusion that will happen. Pretty much all ONE countries are in troubles, Serbia was just recently fully conquered and is now struggling to get its regions back, so far it's going quite well. Poland on the other hand gave up on conquering whole of Germany and made a short agreement with its neighbor, their new target could as well be Ukraine. Even the weaker countries from ONE's perspective can't do much. Slovenia is trying to recuperate from the defeats it has withtaken in the last weeks and as such, doesn't have the needed power to fully help its allies to influence the outcome of battles.

Spain is just another country that Macedonia shares a good relationship with, but even the good relationship won't help the Balkan country. Spaniards are doing quite bad versus USA and Brazil, maybe the baby boom is the only bright thing that happened to the ONE alliance in the last period.

All together, it will be almost a mission impossible for Macedonia to keep her game together and beat off all of her enemies. Some strong resistance is possible, but the expectations are that Macedonians will yet again be deleted. Not to worry though, Italy is nearby to Macedonian regions and after they liberate themselves yet again, they will try and keep trying until they don't succeed. Sometime in the near future Macedonia will get its presence noticed in Italy. For some it may be interesting the cooperation EDEN and Terra are showing, the fact they are living as an alliance and doing things to prevent the enemy countries to get back on top of their game. ONE did use to lead things in eRepublik, the tide has changed and now it's the alliance that is being oppressed. Just a cycle of life.
