Phoenix Quinn asked "How will I be remembered?"







Immediately I felt some responsibility. PQ has always been a major influence on my eLife. He has had more influence than he, may, realize. Many things that I have done, started and stopped, based on his approval. He, also, encouraged me to write. So, if you don't like what I write; Blame P.Q.

The first thing I realized was; It's much easier to enshrine someone that is dead, because they can't object to it. So, my main obstacle was the fear that I'd say something with which he disagrees.

My plan was to honor PQ with a wiki production. But, It's been done. So, I shifted thoughts to the forum; Since, PQ had already alluded to that possibility.
Maybe, I could honor him by naming a Forum Thread after him and linking it to an avatar in his likeness. However, there were too many obstacles;
#1 was the fact that I don't know how to make graphics.
#2 was the fact that the forum belongs to the people. So. It wasn't my decision to make.

After a couple of days; I had something that suited me. What better way to reflect the influence that PQ has had on my eExistence than to name a mentoring program after him. (I have yet to see whether or not he approves.)

It was not difficult, for me, to get links to useful wikis; From eRepublik and tools from helpful people. Mostly, it was based on my experience. Although, one thing that I had not experienced was a run for PotUS. I didn't know how to describe it.

Now, keeping in mind, "Free University of Phoenix Quinn is supposed to be a surprise;" I decided to learn how to run for PotUS.
I went into the election with the hopes that I would not win, but I had to be prepared for the possibility that I would. (After all; Only TB, TN and The Socialist Freedom Party Recruitment Committee had a clue about what was going on.)

After the election; I return to work on the Free University. I patched in the links to the forums and my thoughts on the subject. Then suddenly it occurred to me, "How will I remember you, PQ; With my mind."

I suggest that you upgrade your training ground. This isn't only for strength. This is, by far, the best investment.

Political:
I suggest that you learn the basics, before you launch your campaign. There is a lot of protocol. Not following the protocol can be perceived as incompetence or a threat to national security. So, make informed decisions.

Before you become a congress member, you should register on the National Forum.
I suggest that you also have experience with some administrating tools. (I'll explain some of the administrating tools, later)










Party President:
Now, that you are ready to enter the political arena, a small party should be your first choice. Why; Because they have more time and patience for individual players. I'm in a small party, because I like the Community. But, I learned a lot from being in party that is on the verge of being relevant.

When you join a party; The first thing you should do is introduce yourself to your Colleagues. People aren't likely to vote for someone they've never met. Remember that any publicity is good publicity.

Secondly, run for party president. If you win you've got a new opportunity to learn some administrating tools. If you lose election, you've still gained notoriety. Remember; any publicity is good publicity. You will, likely, be offered a cabinet position.

Congress:
After you've had experience with the administrative tools and you are registered on the National Forum you might go chasing a Shiny Congress Medal.

Unless you are in a top 5 party, you will not be able to run yourself in the congressional election. You should ask your party president how to get the party endorsement. Application processes may vary widely.

Presidency/ AKA; PotUS:

Of the select few to have made it this far; I have not been one. But this is my observation:

You need to go and contact the top 5 parties and ask for their endorsement. There are a lot of 6th parties, but only a few are politically active.

Visit the top 5 party forums and introduce yourself. currently, they are;
Federalist Party, United States Workers Party, American Military Party, We the People and the Black Sheep.

You will also need cabinet selections. A president can't know everything; So pick a cabinet that has relevant skills. The cabinet selections are also a diplomatic decision. Make sure to include representatives from as many parties as possible.











Soldier:

First thing; Upgrade your training grounds. There will promotional discounts for training ground upgrades. So, you may want to save your money.

Some may argue that this is the most important module in the game. Ironically; If we stop killing each other, the eWorld would end.
Anyone can push the fight button. That, alone, won't win wars. Good organization is the key. RL money can win some of the battles. But, eventually, it comes down to organization.

Some Military units will provide weapons. But, you will need to work in a commune, or meet other conditions. Some military units, may not, accept you.
You will find a great variety of personalities. There is great variety of MUs to represent them.












Entrepreneur:

It takes money to make money. Unless you are going to be purchasing gold from Plato, you should put this off for a while. You can profit from the factories. You just won't profit from hiring anyone, until your factories are fully upgraded. Then you will be able to compete in the job market.

Peasant:
A peasant is a person without access to administrative tools.
Don't underestimate the power of the Peasant. Besides the fact that most of us are peasants; Our ranks are also constituted from former and future Presidents, War heroes, Philosophers and Spectators. (Among other things.)
A peasant is capable of organizing military campaigns. They are also capable of leading important political actions. But, they don't, literally, have their finger on the button.
