1. Excuses for Beer: Promotions, Welcomes, and Sweet Goodbyes

Promotions

The past month saw traffic every which way in US Airborne. Congratulations goes first to K9Fun661, who was promoted to PXO of 101/1 under NecromanMMO, just one month after joining Airborne, following a long tenure in the Mobile Infantry. Next up, crack open your best bottle of champagne for Joey.J, the new DXO of the 82nd division. After a spotless run as leader of 101/2, Joey will now go to serve under Airborne XO Vrpanch, who is currently acting commander of the 82nd. You can now hunt down JoeyJ on IRC to QM you weapons and food!

Newcomers

This month we welcomed four new soldiers to the branch:

badbrad767
Angellike
Greenday4537 (another illustrious transfer from Mobile Infantry)
Zonmei

Add these fine fellows as friends in-game, and give them a hearty hello when you see them around.

Adios a…

Ekoi963, who left Airborne to repatriate to his native eChile in a time of need. Ekoi was a jolly and ubiquitous guy on IRC, one of the most active members of Airborne during his time. And at 25k strength, he was one of the most powerful D2 fighters the eUS Military had ever seen.

RockyBalboa78, a strong and steady soldier who opted to return home to eAlbania, as it lays under siege.

2. eUS Military Events

Today is the beginning of the eUS Military Gift Exchange. Read all about it and try to sneak in before the deadline!

Need some forum fun? Our dear leader Cyber Witch has begun a series of riddle contests in order to remind us of her superior intellect, while offering a good mental challenge and, of course, prizes. The Third Riddle was posted yesterday. Each day any soldier is allowed one guess. The following day, if no one has solved the riddle, Cyber Witch will post another clue, and soldiers may guess again.

Elsewhere, the Hunger Games have begun. Of the four tributes reaped from the eUS Military, three remain after two rounds: Emily DG of the National Guard, Christopher L. Ripple of the Mobile Infantry, and Airborne’s own Joey.J. Sadly, the odds were not in Goerge Waston’s favor. He was eliminated in the first round, for being in the bottom 11 among the tributes in terms of total tanking.

3. Told You So

Moving Tickets are no longer being handed out, and the prices are quickly rising. If you haven’t stocked up yet, buy some now while they’re still well below the cost of moving.
