European Countries (4): Babies Are Dying

Day 1,656, 14:40 Published in Germany Germany by Skalg von Tuari

It's time for some stats again! I didn't do an article last week, since they were rather boring. However, I did collect data. Since I was busy, Kleiner Teufel collected more data yesterday, thanks for that!

Why don't I simply collect data today instead of letting him do the work yesterday? Well, yesterday was „day 30“, i.e. the 30th day since I started collecting population data. Time to do a longer article.

First, let's start with who has impressed me most or been most interesting in the last two weeks. It's probably a little suprise - but this time, it's Ireland.

So, why Ireland? If you look at each week, their growth was rather small. Sometime there was no growth at all. But the important thing is: Their growth was steady throughout the month.

This graph visualises is a bit more clearly than it is. They gained appx 15% in total - which is nice for a small country like Ireland. Additionally, They've gotten rid of that nasty war against UK and even made a deal which gives them more ressources - nice! They campains in Denmark usually just don't work out, but overall, they're in a nice position.

Ok, time for the real deal.

First of all, let's see the raw data of the last two weeks:

I included the total number, so you can see how many babies died. So, who are the losers these last two weeks? Check out those „growth“ rates.

But let's visualise a bit.

UK, France, Germany, Portugal and Italy all started with 3k+ citizens and are my Top 5. How did they do this month?

As you can see, Germany, UK and Portugal had Babybooms and are now losing citizens. Babies obviously die. France and Italy are constantly losing citizens. UK is doing rather well so far - a lot of babies might survive.

Next, we have Slovenia, Sweden and Finland who have 1-2k citizens. I also included Netherlands and Ireland, who have close to 1k citizens, because I have already shown Ireland in detail and the main change for NL is very well visible, even if compared to those countries.

See that nasty bump? NL lost around 1/4th of their citizens in only a week - don't ask me why! Banhammer, mass dying, whatever. It is very unusual. Slovenia is constantly losing citizens, Ireland gaining, and Finland and Sweden p much don't change.

Last, but not leat, we have Belgium, Austria, Norway, Switzerland and Denmark. Most of those countries are rather inactive, and on a bigger level, not much has changes. But on their scale, there are some interesting developments.

First of all, not only NL had a large loss of citizens, Belgium is doing only a bit better. Switzerland, Austria and Norway have little to no changes. The biggest change happened in Denmark, who are growing rather strongly and are slowly overtaking Switzerland - even though they are in a union with Germany and a lot of their citizens have German CS.

Next, we have the mandatory development of alliances, which I will drop off without comment, as always.

Ok, so let's get to the most important part: How did the countries do if we compare the first and the most recent day?

Ok, finally: Ho much growth is that?

Basically, Denmark, UK, Ireland and Portugal are the only countries with a significant overall growth. Italy, Slovenia, Norway, France, Belgium and especially the Netherlands have lost significant amounts of citizens.

However, this last table is not the most important one; small babybooms and dying babies can mean new, stronger and active players. Every Babyboom strengthens a country, even if you lose most of those - it can mean a fresh wind in your community and more damage.

Yeah, that's it. Hf.
