eRepublik under DDOS attacks reloaded
Dear citizens,
A sustained DDoS attack took place yesterday which caused eRepublik to be temporary inaccessible. The guys from the tech department have done a wonderful job, and in less than two hours the site was up running, bringing back the New World to its 350.000 citizens. The attack originating in Turkey was not extremely strong, as we've seen worse, but the issue in this case came from a specific Turkish ISP policy of allocating IPs, making impossible to filter the traffic through our servers. This forced us to block the entire class of flooding IPs, which also affects some citizens. We have immediately contacted the ISP asking them to find and isolate inside their infrastructure the specific guilty people. Until we receive an answer, we'll keep it blocked in order to protect the entire eRepublik community.

We lost hardworker medal ,we have lost taking place in wars ,we have lost other issues.I am from Türkiye.Do you think it is fair?we were working to attract new users to come.In such circumstances do you think they will come?I do not think so.You are loosing fairness (it is worst thing for a game ).Each day an upper level Türk player are being banned.Maybe they are cheaters maybe not .However we can not see other users be banned in other countries especially at upper levels.For a business view you are loosing equity and in advertising the reputation is most essential part.I am kind of a new user .However every day I am seeing doubts ,problems,banning issues.I think you have lost Türkiye market just because of these suspicions .The bad advertisings will be made by experienced users.Another issue ,for an attack you are closing all access from Türkiye.This only shows that ,this site can not protect itself .Such inequity ,such injustice will cause losts only....

Admins did good job, because if some group of players cannot play fair, it shouldn't play at all. DDoS-ing is a crime and have to be punished in real world. Not all turkish players are affected, so don't cry.

Yes. Turkiye has benefited from massive cheating from Battalgazi and his multi army. Finally, the e-law caught up with him. If you experience a little difficulty while the admins try to protect the rest of us from your RL hackers, that is the least penalty you should pay.
