eRepublik meetings – horror in the Romanian bars
Something interesting happened in our last meeting, held at Curtea Berarilor, on October 31st, 2008 (Day 346 of the New World). First of all, it was the largest meeting yet, with about 28-30 participants. Bogdan Adamutz booked a table for 20 persons, so when other waves of eRepublik users came, the bartenders started to freek out. We managed to get another table, so that everyone could have a place to store their countless 1 liter, empty pints of beer. Of course, I had my usual glasses of wine.
One of the participants was George Lemnaru, which I wanted to meet for at least 8 months, but only now I had the chance. Amongst us there were also new users, which joined our community 1 or 2 months ago (SinCity).
The meeting took place in the usual manner: lots of beer, fun, comments and pizza. It seems that the managers kept their word given to us on Tuesday, when they said that the kitchen will be opened.
Most of the participants were the usual ones, but the “main event” (for me) was George’s participation, who tried to talk to all “the new people”, to receive feedback, comments, suggestions. It seems that, at least in Bucharest, a small community of players and friends has been formed, which try to attend to every meeting and interact as much as possible with their collaborators from the game. Thus, this is one of eRepublik’s greatest achievements: the transfer of interaction, friendship and fun from the game into real life.
Without boring you with stories about the “common” things that happened there, Belea2008 gave us a surprise, and handed over 2 eRepublik T-shirts to Ival and Malika. Of course, they had to take off their clothes and put on the new T-shirts on. I will not make public the video that shows them exchange their clothes, but some pictures will give you an idea of the process. After that, we all started dancing in the bar, although there was little room for all of us; but we managed to have lots of fun and put a smile on the other people’s faces.
At about 1 o’clock, we left Curtea Berarilor and headed to Club Metropolis, at the 4th floor of Unirea Shopping Center, where the fun continued well into the night…
Now, let’s get down to the real purpose of this article: the pictures… Due to the fact that there were made over 300 pictures, I decided to “break” my rule of making all of them public, and tried to post the most relevant ones… I hope you understand that there are technical limitations for all of us. If you have interesting pictures that you want to be published, please contact me.

4 Kambei: urmaresti presa, tii legatura cu Bogdan Adamutz sau adi.furk, etc
@ kambei postam de obicei, cu 3-4 zile inainte, noi, cei din staff, un articol cu ora si data exacta unde va avea loc urmatoarea intalnire
@ maximus si sa zici mersi ca ai scapat ieftin

GM era acolo de ceva vreme, inca de cand erai si tu, si a mai trecut de 2-3 ori pe langa noi; poate ceilalti erau ocupati cu altele(ca de ex berea), insa intamplator am o memorie vizuala destul de buna si l-am observat; atunci nu stiam cine e, dar ulterior am facut legatura
nu vreau sa te flatez si sa zic ca din cauza ta n-a venit la noi decat mai tarziu...dar mai stii???
...si chiar il astept pe GM sa comenteze ceea ce zic pt ca nu e "o gluma" (plus ca eu nu stiu sa glumesc)

am avut o intalnire cu cativa amici inainte sa vin ..iar la masa am venit dupa ce am terminat cu ei (ele)...

Am fost si eu. Chiar daca am plecat mai devreme, mi-a placut sa ii vad "pe viu" pe eroii eRepublik. Data viitoare promit sa stau mai mult.

Intalnirea a fost asa de tare incat cred ca aceasta discutie o sa continue pana la urmatoarea intalnire

Eu zic ca ar trebui o locatie (oricare)cu un pic mai multa liniste, ca sa ne auzim macar la 1 metru distanta )..si daca se poate, o masa rotunda, sau mai multe mese transformate intr-una rotunda si mare, nu insirati pe 10 metri...poate o locatie gen cafenea,desi nush ce cafenea ne-ar putea incapea pe toti :-s
Incaperea din spate de la Curtea Berarilor nu este asa zgomotoasa parca.
