Enter...the MDU - eUK's Newest Big 5 Party!

Day 390, 05:54 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by MDU Press Office

Today is a proud day in the history of the Movement for Democratic Unity.

Since I took office as President of the former "People's Zeteticist Party" in October 2008 and reformed the party as the MDU, it was my, and the party's aim to become a member of the "Big 5".

Today, on the 14th December 2008, that aim was achieved as we gained our 47th member (from just 13 in October), and become eUK's 5th biggest party.

We have shown we are a movement to be reckoned with, not just another centre-right fringe party for eUK, but a viable, active alternative for this fine nation. We will be standing candidates at the upcoming Congress elections and hope to win a sizeable number of seats, and we as a party look forward to working closely with out political counterparts.

In other party news, the official party vote on our proposed party constitution started today. The result will be announced on Wednesday and if successful will be presented to the public in this paper.

This is a symbolic day for the party, tomorrow a new leader will emerge from the Party Presidential elections as I will not be seeking reelection - a new era of both MDU politics and eUK politics will be born.

I will take this opportunity to thank wholeheartedly all the members of the Movement for Democratic Unity that have made the party what it now is, and citizens from all over eUK, from various political parties who have given us support and encouragement. I have loved every minute of the job as Party President and look forward to working closely with our next leader.

We are your movement, your democracy...we are the Movement for Democratic Unity

Viva la MDU and Long live eUK!

Yours Sincerely and Faithfully,
CV James
(Outgoing) Movement for Democratic Unity Party President
