In order to determine if having a discord is betterthan having an irc for our community, I would like you all to come test the new proposed platform.
Features include:
- Text based client
- Voiced based client
- No need to download a program )it is an option however to do so)
- community announcements
- No registration nessecarry

First thing it does when following the link? Instruct me to download and install the app. No option to continue without doing so...
you should just be able to upload it via the browser. if you have discord already installed on your pc it will try to prompt you to use the app though it is not necessary.
Well, it doesn't. I have the option to download and install or continue because I already have it installed. Playing stupid and just continue fails. So either the wrong link or it doesn't work on the iPad. (Which sadly will be the the only option to visit erep during daytime most of the time for me nowadays)
were you doing this link via ipad? bc pc the link should work
On iPad indeed. So if it works via PC but doesn't via iPad that would be a setback. (Android) phone gives the same issue.
not sure i would like to visit the actual webpage with a phone really. some things just work better as apps.
thatch because the script used for web based apps only works on pc. If you are on iPad or android you will need to download the app. yes. Its not really a setback since it is a free app on android and on iPad. I understand that the irc app on the site does not require a app install, but then again using it on your phone via the web-based manner is so small it is illegible. I think your just being difficult for difficult sake, and currently unwilling to check out something that has potential to have a positive change on the community. If you had been on the discord i have setup you will see that people are already checking it out and finding it a positive change.
Installing apps on either iPad or Phone is simply unwanted for security reasons. And as its no business app its highly unlike there will be an exception for discord. Therefore a browser based system would have been a large bonus.
This is really sad, more like you trying to find internet friends than a new communication platform as u like to call it

Its pretty sad that you you need to go on the internet, in a vain attempt to make fun of people. Whats the matter you get bullied in real life, and decide to be an online bully instead?
