End of Term Review

Day 1,770, 06:52 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Lord Lewis Cromwell

Hello Everyone!

It's the 24th of the month and that means that our Congress is OUT! Tomorrow we will be voting in our new members with interesting changes to the way we vote them in, as well as some interesting changes put into place by this month's parliament which will influence the next's in slight and severe ways.

Tomorrow, instead of voting for candidates per region (and in some parties being told where to move to in order to secure a seat for someone) we will instead be voting for the national party and the Party Presidents (PP's) will essentially be deciding which candidates from their parties win seats based on priority decided today.

This system will basically make voting easier for both votees and PP's, so make sure tomorrow you vote for the party with the candidates you want representing you!

This term's efforts!
We've seen a few major changes to governmental systems this term:

No longer will the government be funding the NHS plans for new player support, instead the cost is moved to private, independent players for the future in order for governmental money to be saved for more efficient schemes and preparing for inevitable war and alliances.

Likewise, the BEF military unit has been overhauled to promote soldier activity, reduce basic supplies and increase "strike" based damage in order to both save money and encourage dedication to the national military, as well as increase basic internal communication in the unit.

Our treaty with Ireland was renewed with new terms, and the transitioning of regions is ongoing with the intervention of Ireland's deceitful allies hampering plans between us slightly. Our next parliament will need to be patient and non-accusing in dealing with our close neighbours as relations have been improved drastically this year through stalwart work by our various MoFA's.

Our neighbours France again tried to scapegoat into our territory rather than be wiped honestly. This spoiled brat of a neighbour has continued to be a nuisance to us but continues to be a failure of a national team the likes of which we have not seen in recent times. Their continued arrogance and absolute absence of thought may be a hindrance to our next Congress should they find themselves on the map again, but with our allies present we shouldn't have much to worry about.

Upon the election of Magic Hereos of TUP, the position of MoHA was abolished and replaced instead by a test version of a Congress Leader. Scott Parsons of TUP was then elected to the post but failed to fulfill any duties and therefore I was granted the position and continued my weekly updates as well as successfully encouraged members of parliament to be more active. Let's hope my replacement follows any kind of good example I have set should I not be elected again tomorrrow.

To tie up this brief summary, we have renewed our pacts with some of our allies to ensure the ongoing commitments to eachother that we have previously established. With happy happy joy joy we will continue to fight alongside New Zealand, Estonia, Indonesia, Bulgaria and today Chile!

And so we have it, the end of this term's Congress! Remember that I am an ESO Congressman and we have many more like me to offer our nation, and that every single one of us counts. I'd like to thank this month's parliament for genuinely working together for the good of our nation and making it a privilege to serve together, and hope that you will see me continue my efforts after tomorrow's elections.

Good luck to all candidates and vote fairly all citizens!

Be cool, stay cool
