eMalta Forums: 200 days of successful discussions!

It was on the 29th of January 2009, exactly 200 days ago today, that the eMalta Forums opened their doors. These forums, can be found at:

As eRepublik forums go, it may not be the most active, but it does rival the forums of the smaller countries in eRepublik, and is by far the most active forum with regards to countries not yet added to the New World. Our forums boast 54 registered users and a total of 729 posts at the time of print. Over the months, here are some of our memorable days on the eMalta Forums:

January 2009
Forum created and conversion to eMalta's needs begins.

February 2009
First users join and post on the forums. Maltese Mission directors malta_1990 and Tommy Tommasino are the first eMaltese to register.

First discussion thread deals with official Language. After some healthy debate, a bilingual approach is agreed upon. Bob Boblo opens the first Embassy for the eUK on the eMalta forums.

March 2009
Discussions move onto Alliances and Armies. Most members advocate for a neutral stance with friendly ties with both PEACE and ATLANTIS (then still active), while possibly signing MPP's with Italy and the United Kingdom, where most of the eMaltese reside. Plans for the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM), are also drawn up.

Talks move onto the Economic side of the game. It is agreed that Maltese Mission org will be used to gather funds from eRepublik citizens to pay for moving tickets and the creation of a political party. Provisional plans are also made about government companies.

April 2009
New topics on the official eRepublik forum are created to show the eRepublik admins that eMalta is not simply a pet cause, but an honest and hard working "Add a Nation" Campaign.

May 2009
Forum appearance improved and given an added Maltese touch as regards to new forum sections being added, a new banner and a website icon being applied. Talks progress further and plans for the AFM and the early eMaltese government are drawn up. Malta Calling intensifies its articles making people aware of the eMalta cause.

June 2009
Malta Calling publishes its most successful article to date. Entitled "Malta: The Heart of the Mediterranean", this article is published in the eUK, with additional articles worldwide being published to link to it. The main article achieves 902 votes and gets 120 comments. Its additional worldwide articles combined achieve 1305 votes and 130 comments.

July 2009
Discussions begin to appoint a Provisional Government to co-ordinate the eMalta campaign more effectively. Making the New World aware of our cause is at the top of the agenda. Other goals include running an advertising campaign and raise more funds for eMalta.

August 2009
The story goes on................eMalta Forums keep on gaining members............will you be part of it?
