Today you cast a vote for President of the eUnited States of America. I want you to take a moment to consider our state before you do.
Surely you will agree that crisis is not too strong a word. Recent publications have warned that invasion of our shores is impending. And that's not all.
We live our elives in a 5 party political architecture that is badly damaged. The presence of INCI, combined with their effective muzzling in this election process (as well as the last) reduces us to 4. Of those only USWP is truly influential. My party, the Federalists only account for 9.75% of the top 5 population pie. And we are fourth! The proper mechanics of the political party system are not currently at work in eUSA.

Why else is America in Crisis?
Scan through the rankings of top players in this country and observe how many of them are unaffiliated. Party affiliation in this game should hardly be viewed as optional.
This is weakness #1. Most of our parties are listless.
More precisely we are operating under a One Party System, and I don’t mean USWP.
Scan through the list of cabinet members for either main line candidate. Do you notice anything? Yes. A whole mess of Ultramarines. (4 of 7 for Emerick, 9 of 12 for Arundel) In the absence of legitimate party politics, this fine elite militia has stepped in and filled the void.
Are you happy about that? Perhaps there is too much political complacency to even need to ask that question. You’ll all vote anyway.
Of the 19 people below:
13 are Ultramarines
8 are USWP
5 are Libertarians
2 are Deep 6th parties
1 is Federalist
And 1 is a Chinese Citizen
Really, these two tickets are two sides of the same coin. The two most powerful "political forces" in the American eUSA – the USWP and the Ultramarines (How Postmodern!) – along with a sprinkling of incidental Libs (Did you see Emerick’s answer to question #4?)... Well, go ahead and flip a coin... It's the only "choice" you're being given.
To flip or not to flip.
Weakness #2, unless you prefer to stare at a pile of vomit for the next month (I mean this generally, of course), you don't have much choice in who to hand executive power to. Heads or Tails. Same thing.
Thankfully this broken system will at least kick out a qualified President again this term.
It is not the quality of the men at the top of either ticket I am questioning. It is the homogeneity of those who will serve under our next president that has me discouraged about it. None of them is vanilla. That’s not what I mean. It’s that they are all the same flavor of chocolate.
If I must, here is a tl;dr review.
We are under One “party” Rule in this country.
We have presidential election wherein 85% of the power brokers are Ultramarines and/or USWP.
We have a congress that was elected by the FEC.
We have a gelding as a top political party because they are mostly Turkish in real life.
Our primary political influencer is a private militia.
And we are at the verge of a war that may very well once again reduce us to geographical crisis.
And today you must vote.
I will be voting for the Emerick side of this coin. Here is why in brief:
Emerick exhibits respect and decorum in IRC – the only real place to get to know anyone in this game. Respect and decorum are the character traits that have made Glove a success with INCI. President Emerick will have a lot more multicultural gladhanding to do than just the Turks.
Emerick is a proven organizer. So is Arundel.
The difference is that organization under Emerick is more fun than a barrel of monkeys without any sacrifice of order. If we must face a National Crisis, I’ll take the fun one.

The biggest reason is that I'm online. All the time. All of my top guys will have my cell number, as will the CJCS. I'd give it to Alliance leadership, but those would be international calls...so, yea.
I've held, and hold, jobs which I think have prepared me well, but activity is #1.
Basically, if you want someone who will be active, knowledgeable, and always giving 100%, I'm your guy.

I’m knee-deep in the work I’d be getting into if elected, so there’s almost no transition period for me. I love communication and will keep people very informed, and I’ve done this before. People who remember me know that I’m quality, and I work hard.

I considered the political part of the game to be fun at one time. But for the last several months the political part of the game for eUSA isn't working for me. Nor do I see that changing anytime soon.
Any ideas as to where the political system isn't a broken record?

@Sorryn00b... George didn't leave. He was unable to run because he did not receive an endorsement from a party... Too bad there wasn't one party out there who endorsed him. Would have made for a FUN DAY!!!

No, it hasn't happened, and to be honest, I'm an Ultramarine because the military refuses to accept me. I have no loyalty to any program or organization other than the United States, and I'd hope that you, and the others, would agree.
Also, about the high number of UMs in the cabinets, I'd say that it's due to the fact that UM is new and popular right now, and most active people decided to join it.
On behalf of the Ultramarines, I can say that we do not organize any political activity, endorse or pick candidates, or in fact take any role in politics at all. Emerick is right - we're new, our rules are very few and very simple, and that's been attractive to a number of active people. We're not taking over 😉

@Avruch, thank you for making that clear. I don't intend to suggest intentionality, merely observe cause and effect.
I don't think there's enough awareness about what the parties actually stand for. In fact, screw that, I don't think the parties themselves know what they stand for.
@Avruch - I did not mean to suggest that the Ultramarines had any political aspirations whatsoever, merely to highlight that plenty of its members are involved in the entire "Congress vs the eUS Military" up to their eyeballs, up to and including one of its founding members and commanding officers.
And I suspect that any attempt to introduce a amendment clause into the eUS Constitution along the lines of "Since Congress funds militias, Congress may, by 60/75/80% vote or whatever remove any of its leaders at any time without cause" would never see the light of day.
Just saying.
