A. Utah: That’s right, I’m running for the Congressional seat in Utah. If you would like to vote for me, but need a moving ticket, then I would be more than happy to supply you with one. Just make sure you move to Utah and hit the vote button next to my name on July 25.

B. Qualifications: I do not give accordions to good people. I listed my qualifications in my previous article. They haven’t changed in a few days (except I have worked more days) so I’ll repost that introduction here 😉 –“ IRL I am your average college student; I am a three years into a Economics and Marketing double major. In game, I have been alive and kicking since May 11th of last year, and I have served continuously in the eUS Military since June 1st of last year as well. As of today, I have worked 331 days straight. I used to own a tickets company, but dumped it before the Citizen Module came into existence (One of my better decisions). I do not have a strong desire to run a company again, but I still find the economic side of this game interesting (my inner RL economist). As you can see, I am a fairly experienced player in this game.” You can check out this earlier edition for more information about me:

C. Economy: Every day the economy of this nation is improving out of its admin induced recession. Of course, some dynamics of the economy have changed since the implementation of V2: goods are differentiable in many more ways than before, for instance. Therefore, I believe we may need to reevaluate some of previous assumptions given this fact. I have been, and still am a strong believer in free trade and Stuff>Gold; however, I will work as close as possible to learn from and work with eEconomists who already have a good handle on this game, to keep or amend any policies that need to be addressed.

D. Foreign Affairs: Let me make this perfectly clear: Congress doesn’t screw with foreign affairs. So why do I mention this? Our foreign affairs have not been stellar lately, at least in the public arena. One of our best allies felt betrayed by our lack of support. Obviously, the Independence Day holiday was a major factor, but there were also some decisions that lead to where we are. If there is anything I can do to help the situation, I will. Either way, we need to get this BS behind us.

E. Infrastructure: I am not an expert on this subject; I highly doubt anyone is at this juncture. I am sure more people have thought about this subject more than I. I will need to hear some convincing arguments in order to support any major infrastructure overhaul, which will be necessary in V2. However, this is a critical issue going forward, and I believe we may need to build hospitals in most if not all states, which may require restructuring the budget to deal with this major expenditure (which magically brings me to my next point).

Think about it; this perfectly describes the problem of retaining players in this game.

F. Player Retention: This is an extremely important issue. Ultimately we are limited by how boring this game can be, but there are measures we can take. I have no ground-breaking ideas on this point, but I know there are very dedicated people in the eUS who have worked hard to keep our newbs, and they deserve our full support. While running my business, I retained more people, than I did while helping with the mentor program. I am not bashing the mentor program, rather I believe we should look at any possible incentives for employers that employee and help retain newbs.

G. Military: I’ve been an active military member since June 1st of last year, so I obviously support the military. I am also supported by the American Military Party. I know that senseless butt-hurt between Congress and the military is probably unavoidable at times, but it should be kept to a minimum at all costs. I also believe that the military is under-represented in Congress, so I am trying to change that with my election and with more military members to follow.

H. Tl😉r: Vote for me. If you need a moving ticket then pm me. If you are not going to vote for me, then help SAC. If you don’t like Far Side, then your life is pointless.

Cheers from the Far Side,
Drum
