Hello, and welcome back to the second episode of the eHistory Channel. I’ll be your host, Zelias. I must apologize for the delay of getting it out on the air, but I’ve been busy writing for the OG literary award and research. I’m sure you’d rather have me release an episode several days late than have it be only halfway done. We’ll be covering the first half of the 2008 eRepublik year since if I put the entire year into this episode it might take you two hours to watch. So we’ll just be covering January 2008 through June 2008 today. And I’m sure you’ll find this episode quite interesting if you’re into learning the war history of eRepublik since so many wars did happen in 2008. I hope you enjoy.

January 2008

Jan 1, 2008 - General elections in eRepublik for the second time.

Jan 1, 2008 - Iran becomes the first country in eRepublik to adopt Monarchy with Koroush.

Jan 10, 2008 - The first 'intelligence' agency in eRepublik formed by Koroush in Iran.

Jan 11, 2008 - Ireland is working on creating the first Constitution of a country in eRepublik.

Jan 15, 2008 - The birth of the first alliance in eRepublik. Norway, Russia, the United Kingdom and
Ireland are now in the Northern Alliance.

Jan 18, 2008 - eRepublik's first real Economic League Table, created and analyzed by Kaleb. For top 10 countries in eRepublik, you can find several indicators such as: Total GDP, GDP change, Active population, Population change, GDP/Capita and GDP/Capita change.

Jan 22, 2008 - First Human Rights Charter in eRepublik by Koroush in Iran.

Jan 23, 2008 - Iran becomes the first country to adopt a national anthem.

February 2008

Feb 1, 2008 - The third General Elections in eRepublik has brought a new event in the New World. For the first time, there was a tie for the Presidential seat in the United Kingdom.

Feb 6, 2008 - The organizational entities concept, also known as SO (simulated organization) was introduced in eRepublik. Now citizens are allowed to have several entities such as banks, lotteries and ministers if they respect the rules.

Feb 13, 2008 - eRepublik time changed to Pacific Time.

Feb 18, 2008 - Non Aggression Pact between Indonesia and Pakistan was signed by om_mudakir and Dio Brando.

Feb 27, 2008 - Norway left the Northern Alliance and signed a Mutual Protection Pact, MPP, with Sweden.

March 2008

Mar 14, 2008 - Presidents are now able to sign country trade agreements.

Mar 17, 2008 - First wedding in eRepublik between two Romanian citizens, Cristesco and elena.coman.

Mar 21, 2008 - Solutions were implemented in order to stop overproduction, which is causing a high unemployment rate in some countries.

Mar 30, 2008 - The first eRepublik real life meeting took place in Bucharest.

This month in history: The press director of ‘International Press’, Emerick, who used to be party president for the Libertarian party, Unemployment Office manager for the United States, and was even the Secretary of State for the US for a while, was born on Febuary 11, 2008.

April 2008

Apr 1, 2008 - The economic league table for March posted by Kaleb.

Apr 2, 2008 - Russia becomes the first communist country in eRepublik.

Apr 4, 2008 - Romania and Moldavia unite. The Presidents of Romania and Moldavia decided to unite their countries after taking into consideration the historical connection between them and the fact that the majority of citizens in Moldavia consider themselves Romanians. Both Presidents opened referendums concerning this proposal and a majority of voters agreed with the union.

Apr 7, 2008 - The war module, which is one of the most expected features in eRepublik is now live. The Platonic Era ends and the Julius Caesar Era begins.

Apr 10, 2008 - Belgium declared war to the UK. This war was a union between the two countries. Shortly after, Slovakia decided to attack the Czech Republic. Unfortunately for the Slovakians, this war declaration took an unexpected turn and their regions were later conquered by Czech Republic.

Apr 11, 2008 - The first major conflict in The New World started with the declaration of war by USA towards Canada.

Apr 12, 2008 - The union between Romania and the Republic of Moldavia started. Turkey declared war to Israel.

Apr 13, 2008 - Belgium is conquered by the United Kingdom. All of Slovakia's regions are taken by the Czech Republic.

Apr 14, 2008 - Indonesia attacked Australia. This war would bring to surface the first eRepublik War Heroes.

Apr 15, 2008 - The union between Romania and Republic of Moldavia ended.

Apr 16, 2008 - Israel disappears from the map of eRepublik after being fully taken by Turkey. Pakistan decided that is the time to expand. Their first target: India.

Apr 18, 2008 - Australia is fully conquered by Indonesia. The first inter cultural programs start to appear. Norway started expanding their boarder towards Asia and decided to attack Finland. This was a strategic move made in order to dominate the entire north-east of Europe.

Apr 21, 2008 - India was no match for the Pakistani army and so India's regions are, from this day, Pakistan regions. Finland is taken by Norway. Also, Sweden declared war to Denmark.

Apr 23, 2008 - Denmark fought bravely against the Sweden invasion, but they are conquered.

Apr 24, 2008 - Asia is in turmoil. Japan declares war upon South Korea. A lot of freedom fighters joined the attacked country.

Apr 26, 2008 - After 14 days of USA - Canada war, the result was a draw because of the many freedom fighters who joined Canada in search for action and fame.

Apr 26, 2008 - First eRepublik strike in Iran due to the leadership of Izirbat.

May 2008

May 1, 2008 - Sweden attacks Germany and Norway attacks Russia. Both countries claim that their motives were "to expand our territory".

May 5, 2008 - China declared war on Pakistan.

May 6, 2008 - Norway successfully conquered Russia, becoming the largest nation in the game by geographic size.

May 8, 2008 - Once again, everybody saw that organizing is more important than the number of fights won. South Korea is conquered by Japan.

May 10, 2008 - Second wedding in eRepublik between two Spanish citizens, Zhughe Liang and Allyena.

May 11, 2008 - France and Italy declared war on Switzerland. This was the first war in which two countries attacked another country at the same time.

May 13, 2008 - Switzerland loses the war against France and Italy.

May 14, 2008 - The Pakistani-Chinese War was won by Pakistan with little resistance. Also, Romania attacked Ukraine. The official reason for this war was that Romania wanted some historical regions from Ukraine.

May 17, 2008 - Ukraine loses the war with Romania.

May 20, 2008 - After the long Swedish-German War, a controversial ceasefire and an even more controversial peace Contract, Germany was given 3 regions that were previously conquered by Sweden in exchange for their alliance.

May 27, 2008 - Germany declared war on Poland. Due to Pakistan declaring their ally in Germany, many other countries sent soldiers to aid the Polish defenses.

May 29, 2008 - Formidable International Security Treaty (FIST) signed by leaders of Asian nations: nevugila of Turkey, Origineel.NL of Japan, Falcon of Pakistan, Pasdar of Iran, and blink-az of Indonesia. The Mediterranean Alliance’s member country presidents sign the 1st Charter that would rule the organization of this alliance compounded by Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Hungary and Netherlands.

June 2008

June 1, 2008 - Czech Republic is attacked by Hungary.

June 6, 2008 - Poland is conquered by Germany. In the begining of the war it seemed that Poland was winning. They managed to hold the Germans off their territory, but the German forces became too strong with the end result being Germany conquering Poland.

June 10, 2008 - Slovenia was introduced as a new country.

June 11, 2008 - South Africa, allied with USA, Argentina and Venezuela, is attacked by Indonesia. Currently the biggest conflict ever in eRepublik history.

June 13, 2008 - Alucard Bloodlust becomes the new world's first general, fighting from the USA (using their MPP with South Africa) against Indonesia

June 15, 2008 - Cease fire between Indonesia and South Africa were set due to bugs of war.

June 23, 2008 - Czech Republic and Hungary signed a peace treaty. This peace treaty ends the longest war until then, during 23 days.

June 25, 2008 - Hardest attacks on very important accounts. Hackers messed up with admin account and USA president account. All problems were removed in several hours.
