Eden On The Horizon
Many people gave me a lot of grief a week and a half a go when I commented that Ukraine's official support of the RW in Russia was not a precursor to Ukraine's leaving PEACE and joining Eden. As I mentioned in the article it was the final nail in the coffin.
A couple of days ago Ukraine's congress voted to join Eden and even though the president at the time did not formally announce that Ukraine will try and join Eden it is no secret that the current Ukrainian president, government and the majority of congress are pro Eden.
It is only a matter of time before this happens. While Ukraine is by no means a superpower in the eWorld as of yet this is still a major blow to Peace as once this becomes a reality Hungary will be blocked to the East by Poland and Ukraine and to the southeast by Romania.
This also shows the beginning of the decline of the Indo/Hungarian empire. Will any countries follow suit? While it is too early to tell it is important to note that Australia has already joined Eden and even though Russia swears they are loyal to PEACE it is no secret that many russians where not happy that their wants were ignored during the foray into North America. It is also important to note that Russia asked Romania to help them free their regions from Indonesian control. This is a highly unusual request from a PEACE member.
It is also important to note that where Russia goes Serbia will probably go as well. Many people in Russia, Ukraine and Serbia seem to have visions of a slavic union but this is impossible with half of the slavic countries being in Peace and the other half in Eden. Leaving Peace is the first step for the possibility of the formation of such a union in the future.
There are also quite a bit of disgruntled people in France as well that are not happy with the fact that PEACE did not help them hold Spain. Taking into account that Spain lost it's entire gold reserve to Hungary and still regained all its territory at the expense of France this basically shows that the strength of PEACE is obviously on the decline.
Will Ukraine's levaing PEACE and joining Eden start a domino effect changing the balance of power? It's possible. It will definitely make the next month or two more interesting to watch.

The author is deeply mistaken.
This shows the greatest weakness of the current PEACE. Those in PEACE hold many of their members in contempt. Not seeing their value, PEACE makes little effort to allay their concern. The fact that the PEACE comenters here did not recognize the danger with a member state feeling the need to exit the alliance is a bad omen for PEACE.
Epic Fail
To all of you Ukrainians saddened by leaving PEACE look at the comments of PEACE members laughing at us and not even acknowledging that we were a member. And I agree that is an epic fail on their part.
So if all countries leave PEACE and join EDEN who will EDEN fight? Let me guess. Romania needs high iron!

Well maybe it would work IRL... But don't forget that even IRL hungarians and polish people are friends, but here in eRepublik we are on other sides... Serbians won't forget who helped them in the liberation of their country. It's a pity that you forgot how Romania erased Ukraine just to have your high iron, and you forgot who gave you back your freedom.
So just wait for the day when Romania will attack Podolia. I hope you'll still have friends to protect you. Maybe Hungary won't be there again to save your ass...

Zoli - I don't know how attentively you were reading but I did mention the beginnings of a possible slavic alliance.
This could lead to the end of PEACE and EDEN and the beginning of other new alliances. I don't know I am just putting out theories. Of course you being a big PEACEnick you believe that the universe revolves around PEACE and that the eWorld can not exist without it.

We owe something to PEACE and we will not betray those who liberated us no matter of what. LcfR - Ukraine is still a member of PEACE so to say they never were a member is not accurate. I applied for membership as president of Ukraine and we were accepted.

@GLaDOS - well that is very interesting. It does make me wonder why PEACE was all upset when my open letter to Hungary got such a negative reaction from the acting PEACE GC at the time lambasting me for airing internal PEACE matters in public.
It just proves then that I was mislead by PEACE leaders into thinking my country was a member in order to do their bidding. Thank you for the clarification.

Take a look around the world, PEACE masters. Ukraine, France, Italy have had enough of your chauvinistic and egotistic leadership. You dig your own burial site.
Even now, when your alliance start crumbling, you have the same behavior. "We will wipe you from the map, traitors! Obey and serve mighty Hungary and Serbia or you will be crushed", and so on.
You talk a lot about Romania. Yes, we had our imperialistic days. Yes, we make a lot of mistakes. But we are fast learners, especially when we learn the hard way. Ask now about Romania, and not just our allies, but the small, neutral countries as well. You will see a far different image that the one you try to show.
PEACE was a mutual defense alliance. Now it is just an bully, because of Hungary and Serbia. Even against their own members, if they do not obey fast enough to H&S, or if they have the guts to stand against dishonorable behavior of the same two countries.
Congrats, Ukraine. Whatever you choose to do, do it at your own and free will. You may stay in PEACE, you may join Eden, you may choose to be neutral. As long as you act in a honorable way, you have our respect. And also our help, if you need it.

When was eSerbia bully we fought hard and deserve our place among PEACE we were small and neutral country when Croatia attacked us, they held most of our regions for 3 months then we had a baby boom and Hungary and Indonesia came and helped us liberated Serbia and asked nothing in return, and Serbian people is grateful to Hungary and Indonesia, and during WW3 we fought in every battle we supported our allies, we led a lot of distraction battles in Slavonia, and during that time we became strong and powerful nation, now Serbia is fastest growing nations we huge number of active players every day 500 new players are coming, and just for once eSerbia asked for an all out attack on Croatia and PEACE agreed, we failed because of Croatian mpp-s, but we will become stronger and stronger and we will take down Croatia which is MAIN SERBIAN GOAL! As for the Ukrainans they should be grateful for being liberated from Romanian opresion, but instead of that Ukraine wants to join EDEN, well that is the work of the TRAITOR! When Serbia appeared on a map it was neutral country with desire to join Atlantis , then it was TOed by Atlantis alliance ( we were neutral , new country , weak country ) and after that it was attacked by Atlantis alliance and Croatia and conquered because it didn't have alliances - that is how you treat neutrals and weak countries . Peace offered our liberation asking nothing in return ( and it cost couple thousands of gold ) , that is why we from Serbia laugh about your Eden moral lesions and why we will never go even if Russia makes a new alliance or anyone else , the help from Hungary and Indonesia will never be forgotten and Serbia is now free and grows stronger with every passing day.
And stories about neutral Slovakia are stories for children .

As I can see in comments, ordinary people in eUkraine does not agree with joining Eden, only Danylo with his Romanian overlords support that idea. We all know how many Romanians has Ukraine citizenship and it is clear who is implying his will over Ukrainian people.
And as far as I'm concerned, all members of PEACE who has some doubts, who are not ready to give pledge of allegiance and who are not fighting for alliance with all their harts, should leave PEACE as soon as possible. We may go trough difficult period, but we will emerge stronger than ever, knowing that we can have full trust in remaining alliance members.

Armanych trolls my articles constantly and disagrees with everything I say and calls me an idiot daily. All you see is what you want to see and unfortunately when you are looking through your own rosy glasses it is hard to see the truth.
The majority of people in eUkraine support joining Eden and that has been proven by polls on the forums and by a vote in Congress. The current president and government are also pro Eden.
Spin that any way you like but the cold hard facts say Ukraine will be joining Eden and that is what the majority of Ukrainians want.
