Don't Say admin Never Loved You

My faith in the admin staff at eRepublik has been restored. What do I mean? I mean that, at least, they are listening and acting upon our feedback. This is great news for everyone who loves the game and wants fair play with integrity.

I know that many people are going to be upset, claiming biases, and so on. This has happened since the dawn of eRepublik. What hasn't happened that often, especially recently, has been direct admin involvement in world events. There was a lot of this at the start of the game, but it seemed for a long time that we had no recourse if there were foul play. However, at this time, the admin has made an action with regards to the war of Norway with Russia and war of Norway with UK.

I believe we all knew that the election of seko38 was bogus. It has become especially easy in recent times to manipulate elections by multi action, since the fighting age has been reduced to level 3 but the voting age (level) remains the same. This allows you to create a mulit and vote in an election in very short time, with 2 xp per fight. Obviously, that is ridiculous. There is no time to be able to find these accounts, report them, have them banned, and prevent fraud.

Just as obviously, even though the action by admin is a good sign of faith for the people of eRepublik, we all should hope it is not a permanent solution to the manipulation of votes by multi. Here are some ideas to make these kinds of intervention less necessary:

1 - Raise the voting level requirement. It should go back to taking at least a week or even longer.
2 - Raise the level requirement for the 5 GOLD payout, as it is far too tempting for cheaters.
3 - Put in a Turing test ("captcha" or other) for fighting among new players. For example, one test per 5 fights until you reach the voting age. This prevents a lot of automated multi creation.
4 - Flag accounts with automated research by the server (based on cookies, shared IP address, country of computer's origin and country of eRepublik birth discrepancy, etc).

Once again, I know that this will be upsetting to some people who think the admin are biased in some way, but I hope personally that the admin will continue to show their care for the people who play the game and their interest in fairness, whether that favors your country or mine.
