Don't Let Roleplay Hobble your Gameplay: My Views on the "INCI Situation"

"But are they truly incomprehensible? In my experience, communication is a matter of patience, imagination. I would like to believe that these are qualities that we have in sufficient measure."

So, what is one to do regarding the "INCI Situation"? Do we treat them as citizens of the eUSA who are honestly looking to help us from our enemies while looking to prosper in their individual pursuits? Or do we treat them as PTOers who are looking to take over our Congress, dictate our Foreign Policy and drain our coffers? Some look at their actions as representing the former, others look at what their Spokespeople have said and the cumulative actions of hundreds of individual INCI as representing the latter. My goal is to address the concerns that I've read in Model Congress and various articles and comments with my views. I believe in using what works, so some of my views will sound familiar as I have used them previously in response to these issues. My objective is too consolidate all these views in a comprehensive and coherent article.

Why do they need a Political Party? If they truly came to this country for the benefits, fine. Work daily, form your companies, fight. Simple enough. They shouldn't need to change anything so why do they need the Political Party? Why do they stay separate with their Communes?

The problem I find with this view is that our established "Top 5" Political Parties are too use to Political Parties being social groups with no set ideology. That is not how Political Parties are commonly structured. Political parties serve the purpose of empowering constituents to achieve their goals regarding specific issues. The ccc INCI ccc party appears to exist for that purpose, some of those issues having to do with their homeland or, in the case of citizens born here, the homeland of their ancestors. Just as the NAACP, the League of Women Voters and the NAARP lobby for specific issues common among them, so do the INCI. Women, Senior Citizens and African Americans choose to use these lobbying organizations to stay separate to achieve goals specific to them.

If you want the INCI to integrate with the other parties, you have to approach them as individuals and convince those individuals that you can meet their needs better than the ccc INCI ccc party. Until you can convince the individual INCI that, they will remain with the ccc INCI ccc party, which they currently believe will best meet their needs.

That a good number of their population can't speak or write english is a serious concern for any longterm integration, and why the real life US requires a basic ability to read and write in english before granting citizenship. Equally, of course, a RL citizen born here would learn english as they grew up from infancy. The iNCi who claim citizenship via birth, but can't speak the language insult us with this communication situation.

Why should the INCI be treated fairly and equally within society, when a large percentage of its members struggle with the English language?

When these players from Turkey initial decided to start playing this game, I don't believe they could predict that down the road their homeland would become intolerable to them. I doubt that they could predict that they would end up seeking a better life in the eUSA. I doubt that they could predict that they would need to learn English in order to play this game. So, it disturbs me that we are look at an educational disadvantage as an insult. I find it extraordinary that many of these players from Turkey actually know English. I don't know Turkish, Arabic, or any other language at a conversational level, and as many times as I've tried to learn Mandarin Chinese, it has disappeared from disuse. Any Spanish that I once knew from 30 years ago is also gone. So, instead of working towards finding mechanisms that will help us communicate with each other, we use their disadvantage against them.

We're the eUSA, we're the melting pot of various criminals escaping from their oppressive governments to find freedom. In RL, when we first came here, we didn't speak any of the native language either. But the Aboriginal Americans (Native Americans for the PC) didn't hold that against us. I guess we can use that as a cautionary tale, seeing as how we overwhelmed them in population and turned our language into the official language of the USA. Our own history illustrates a successful PTO against the native population.

We have to hope that as they spend time with us, rational self interest will result in them learning English or at least encourage them to setup a mechanism for communication.

Analyze the interview with Captain33. Captain33 admits that he and his group are here to "take revenge" against Turkey and Greece. They wish to use the eUS as a tool for that revenge.
"first of all, normally this is secret aim and few person know this
but i can say something
we will take our revenge from turkish e-worms (lazokrats , xeraph)
and then we will take our revenge from greece
but how?"

They have every right to pursue their interests, even if it involves revenge. Didn't we just try to take over all of Mexico for the lulz? At least their interests have a solid purpose supported by a significant number of the population. The same cannot be said for our past Military strategies. They are usually decided by a few in the Executive branch. And is not eTurkey a part of PANAM? Once our MPP with eGreece is over, aren’t we committed to having an MPP with eTurkey, and wouldn’t that involve assisting them with recovering their country?

The rest of the interview is pretty disrespectful, as Captain33 feels that INCI; a completely foreign organization, deserves government funding. It is shocking, INCI hasn't been around for very long, and already they are demanded the eUS's trust. Unknown/unproven immigrants are entitled to nothing. They must first earn the respect of the people, and the government. Otherwise they are just a nuisance.

They don't need to earn the respect of the government, the government is the servant of the people. The government needs to earn our respect. As far as being immigrants, what about the INCI that were born here? When a new player enters this game, are they also entitled to nothing? Should we get rid of Armed America and Meals on Wheels, programs specifically created to help out people who have been playing this game less than a day? It seems that people are lumping them in with immigrants who have been granted citizenship. Once again, as any other citizen, they deserve the same rights as any other player who chose to make his/her origin the eUSA.

The INCI have shown a distinct ability to attempt to PTO as many congressional seats as they can for themselves. They are not friendly to the eUS's aims. As can be seen yesterday, they are not looking for equality, they are looking for control.

This statement is made as if the carving up of regions by Party Presidents in some smoke-filled IRC channel somewhere has legitimacy. That it is okay for Snipers to guarantee that Candidates chosen by these Party Presidents and not by "the people" are the ones elected to Congress to justify the end result of the best Congress possible. In my view, all this has done is guarantee that the same members hold office with insufficient new player learning how to be Congressman and insufficient new ideas being considered in Congressional forums.

The only ones who have the right to determine how many people the ccc INCI ccc, or any other party, have in Congress are the voters themselves. It also didn't help things that the FEC Public Worksheet doesn't list which of any of the "Top 5" party candidates were supposed to be Blockers and who the FEC Blockers were. Without this information, how was the voter to know who NOT to vote for? It isn't like the FEC is requiring Blockers, even their own, to use Blocker Avatars as requested.

If they want to join the eUS military, they are welcome to work in OUR communes, and follow OUR direct orders.

In the TC and the USNG, I was informed that working in the Communes was voluntary but encouraged. I, myself, am working in an SFP Commune. Wouldn't working in a Commune be voluntary for the INCI also? As players who contribute to military funding through the taxes they pay, why can't they join the Military and work in their own communes? Why is a different standard being applied to them than the one that is applied to others in the TC and USNG?

Proposal: Remove Access to Private Congressional Proceedings from iNCi members

And to top it all off we want to prevent them from having access to Private Congress because their constituents dared vote for their preferred candidate. God forbid if the United Independents Party became the new "black" and were overwhelming voted into office by two-clickers, due to their perceived popularity. Would we then prevent them from having access to Private Congress because their constituents dared vote for them?

In conclusion, I feel that it irks the ones whose power is threatened that they turned out able to play this game better than us. While we try and control eUSA citizens actions through the metagame (Congressional forums, IES, FEC, etc.), the INCI are sticking to game mechanics. While our voters were overvoting in California, Florida and Kansas, the INCI was either more aware of past election trends and used that information to their advantage, or realized that they shouldn't waste their votes in the traditional fortress regions and that they should spread them out. It is clear that they are more organized than us and more effective at playing the game.

It has recently been made clear to me, the Military was formed to provide the most EFFECTIVE damage in defense of this country – not the most efficient. And I would like to apologize for my past ignorance of that fact. It is clear to me through the previous actions of the INCI that they would be an effective force in our Military. Their ability to effectively organize and produce influence on the battlefield is a testament to it. They also know the importance of boosting the strength of our two-clickers. Let us let them prove it. Let us give them the opportunity to prove themselves in the Military on the battlefield, and in Congress in the Congressional forums. If we don't like how they perform and it is evident that they are a PTO threat, then that will be an incentive for us to organize, get rid of the roleplay that hampers our gameplay, rouse up our two-clickers and vote them out of office.

To quote renowned SFP member Alex Drex:
iNCi and US together, will be an epic force. None of this should have happened in the first place.
