Do The Admins Have The Courage To Change?
Acacia Mason
Lets take a step back from the politics of the Australia fiasco and take a look at the ramifications of the bigger issues that have been veiled behind the strategic and political issues that the loss of this region has created.
Yes, this was a high diamond region and yes there are many Oz citizens trapped there. Lastly, YES, I am a staunch supporter of the Brolliance. Not because I am dPM of Canada not because I support Shield and its initiatives, and not because the politics of my country demands it. I am a staunch supporter because I have a genuine and real love of our friends in Oz. They deserve to see the rules of this game fully and fairly enforced.
Now, lets step back as I said we would. The real issues here are not necessarily the diamond region or the citizens who find themselves under a new flag. The REAL issue here is whether or not the admins respond to this clear and definite violation of the game mechanics. If ever there was a time for the game mechanics supporters to become vocal, now is the time. The game supports a 24 hour attack period. No more, and no less. The very fact that this victory was achieved outside the window of victory opportunity demands that the case be reviewed. The fact that some have screenshots and now VIDEO of the violation SCREAMS that the admins step in.
The question is, will the admins step in and rock the boat of some of the most populated nations in the game. Will they have the courage of their convictions to step in and reverse a very clear error. The past dictates that they are quick to ban and suspend players for violating game rules by exploiting bugs and cheats. The question is, are they strong enough to take some of the medicine they so quickly dish out and fix this travesty.
Clearly there is a precedent that is about to be set. IF they fix the error, it opens the door for this sort of thing to be reversed again in the future. Will we, as the allies, be so willing when we are on the other side of the reversal? Also, if they do not fix the issue, it sends a clear message to everyone that it is okay to cheat in the game so go right ahead and do so. If you get banned or suspended, quickly point to the “Australia Incident” and thumb your nose at them well saying, “Well, you let them cheat...”
As much as I feel for the admins, and I do because they are about to set a precedent, one way or the other, there has never been a stronger case for such action. The evidence is on video and on screenshots, petitions have been signed, and tickets opened. Now all we can do is wait. Whatever the outcome, the game just shifted and changed dramatically in a way no one expected.
Moments like this come few and far between. Its gut check time for the admins...let’s see if they have the courage to stand by the rules they wrote. Or will they sway and bend to the sheer numbers that occupy the Phoenix end of the game.
Either way, this is a rally cry for Australia...a defining moment in their history and every member of the Brolliance just got a little closer.
Hail Brolliance!
Hail Eden!

Let's hope they do...

I wouldn't call it cheating, we had the same opportunity to keep attacking, some of eden did continue.
If they do not reverse this situation, what we should take from this is to continue attacking, even if we have won.
Well actually, if the battle is too close to call at the end of 24 hours, Overtime commences.
You win Overtime by either pushing the invaders into No Man's Land, or the invaders reach the underground.
EDEN, in BOTH battles, not only won the original battle, but they also won Overtime TWICE in BOTH battles.
So yeah, still a bug, just wanted to make the concept of Overtime clear. 🙂
Voted! If admin doesn't correct this injustice, or at least give some sort of reasonable explanation about this matter, I will cease playing at the end of my congress term. After all, who wants to play a game where the rules are applied on an arbitrary basis??
😁 Yup..... shouldnt be reviewed merely coz it went it to overtime. but it looks like server lag let fights continue after wall went above secure line in OT. I don't think the cheating analogy is fair.... theres not much a citizen can do but keep fighting untill the game declares the victor of the battle.
It's happened before that admin has reversed illegally done damage. Let's see if they do it again.
Good, thought provoking article. Voted!
Definitely support this. It’s not a question of “who cheated,” it’s a question of fixing a clear and obvious game bug. This goes beyond one side profiting over the other, and impacts the reliability of the system itself. If it go overtime repeatedly now, will it start doing that for every battle fought in the future? Will it start closing battles before they should finish? Will it continue to give these stupid messages along the lines of “Sorlandet was secured by Australia in the war versus Indonesia” and the like? Will it in future give the wrong region to random countries, instead of just showing the wrong message?
Who knows? No-one. That’s why this needs to be fixed, and fixed now, so the game can go on with some measure of predictability.
Remember, a game where everything can be predicted is little fun, but a game where nothing can be is worse, especially if version two needs to rest on the way the world is formed now.
Of course not.
They lack what we have.
Titanium BAWLZ.
Music requires many things. Melody, performers, instruments... But the key element in the most divine music is a Conductor, to hold it all together.
The world is very much the same. Under one Conductor, one ideal, the world of men marches toward bliss.
Admin just gave me a warning for SPAM for posting about the Video proof - go figure!!!
This might be the last time anyone hears from me but… Screw the admin’s, yeah I said it! If they want to delete me and block my I.P. then so be it. Who would want to keep playing if you had to live in fear of communicating your real thoughts.
CrowdedHouse you keep passing that video around.
I only hope that everyone keeps the pressure on them and doesn’t let this die.
They made the rules we play by; the only decent thing to do is uphold them.
c'mon all get over it... stop crying and just take it by force

Good article. Relatively impartial, and the issue is the game mechanics, as opposed to a victory or defeat.
Any ruling on this yet?
Its times like these that we need change that we can believe in.
win
Nice article, Acacia Mason 🙂
Admin cannot really expect anyone to sink RL $$$ into this game when they cannot even stick to their own rules.
Imagine if the news of this sort of admin-sanctioned cheating in a pay-for-play game made its way to slashdot; the bad publicity alone would scare away the investors.
Admin really need to take some hard action now to rectify this madness and fix the bugs. Especially if they continue to expect people to sink real money into the game.
