Do The Admins Have The Courage To Change?

Day 873, 16:14 Published in Australia Canada by Acacia Mason

Lets take a step back from the politics of the Australia fiasco and take a look at the ramifications of the bigger issues that have been veiled behind the strategic and political issues that the loss of this region has created.

Yes, this was a high diamond region and yes there are many Oz citizens trapped there. Lastly, YES, I am a staunch supporter of the Brolliance. Not because I am dPM of Canada not because I support Shield and its initiatives, and not because the politics of my country demands it. I am a staunch supporter because I have a genuine and real love of our friends in Oz. They deserve to see the rules of this game fully and fairly enforced.

Now, lets step back as I said we would. The real issues here are not necessarily the diamond region or the citizens who find themselves under a new flag. The REAL issue here is whether or not the admins respond to this clear and definite violation of the game mechanics. If ever there was a time for the game mechanics supporters to become vocal, now is the time. The game supports a 24 hour attack period. No more, and no less. The very fact that this victory was achieved outside the window of victory opportunity demands that the case be reviewed. The fact that some have screenshots and now VIDEO of the violation SCREAMS that the admins step in.

The question is, will the admins step in and rock the boat of some of the most populated nations in the game. Will they have the courage of their convictions to step in and reverse a very clear error. The past dictates that they are quick to ban and suspend players for violating game rules by exploiting bugs and cheats. The question is, are they strong enough to take some of the medicine they so quickly dish out and fix this travesty.

Clearly there is a precedent that is about to be set. IF they fix the error, it opens the door for this sort of thing to be reversed again in the future. Will we, as the allies, be so willing when we are on the other side of the reversal? Also, if they do not fix the issue, it sends a clear message to everyone that it is okay to cheat in the game so go right ahead and do so. If you get banned or suspended, quickly point to the “Australia Incident” and thumb your nose at them well saying, “Well, you let them cheat...”

As much as I feel for the admins, and I do because they are about to set a precedent, one way or the other, there has never been a stronger case for such action. The evidence is on video and on screenshots, petitions have been signed, and tickets opened. Now all we can do is wait. Whatever the outcome, the game just shifted and changed dramatically in a way no one expected.

Moments like this come few and far between. Its gut check time for the admins...let’s see if they have the courage to stand by the rules they wrote. Or will they sway and bend to the sheer numbers that occupy the Phoenix end of the game.

Either way, this is a rally cry for Australia...a defining moment in their history and every member of the Brolliance just got a little closer.

Hail Brolliance!
Hail Eden!

Yours In National Unity,
