Do or Die

Day 1,747, 18:57 Published in USA USA by Civil Anarchy

I know that people bitch about bringing real life into the game, but I really think what I’m about to say applies to our current situation.

Is a country not entitled to the right to govern it’s own affairs?
In the world community, there exists an idea. An idea that has defined how International diplomacy has developed over the course of the last seventy years, the principle of National Sovereignty. National Sovereignty is the protection of individual countries to govern their affairs as they see fit, and prevent infringements upon such policies. These infringements generally range from anything from direct intervention, to unfair coercion through intra-governmental entities with direct ties to a foreign nation.
I’m a huge International Diplomacy guy. I might be pursuing a career in the field sometime in my future. So, I’m a big proponent of this. I ardently believe it, and defend it. And I think this is one of the few out of game ideals that can translate seamlessly into the eWorld.

So I guess I should get to the point,
America, our national sovereignty has been compromised.

Through the policies of previous administrations, loosened IES procedures under old directors, and the usage of our country as a supply base for Eden and Terra countries, we have entered a state where we are no longer entirely in control of our policies. There exist elements within not only the general populace, but our highest bodies of leadership, that actively lobby for interests and actions that, while may be directly detrimental to the eUnited States, are in some way beneficial to foreign countries.

There is no problem with giving citizenship to people that genuinely want to be Americans. This is a game, after all, and loyalty to a country means so much more than where you come from in Real Life. This is the argument that people will try to use, and have been using, to justify the continuous acceptance of Eden Citizens, and having a loose immigration system in general. This is a non-sequiter.

Our problem does not lie with people who have American Citizenship and display loyalty to our country. There are many people from foreign countries that have given more to the eUSA then even I have. Artela, Chucky Norris, TTi, Fhaemita Malodorus, and many more have given their dedication, their sweat, and their love to this country.
Our problem lies with the people who take American Citizenship for the bonuses. The people who are accepted, move back to their country, and then sell their vote because they don’t give two shits about what happens in the USA, as long as their resource bonuses stay the same. And even worse than these apathetic citizens, are the ones who had American Citizenship gifted to them, and then turned around and vied for their own country in our politics. Individuals who voted for their candidates over American ones, so that they could have a Greek Congressmen in America, a Croatian, a Romanian, a Serbian, a Hungarian, ect. This sickens me. It is arguably the greatest infringement in our trust, and the abuse of a gift to their personal, and national gain, at the direct harm of ours. These are not the actions of friends, these are the actions of parasites.

We did not learn from our friends in Brazil. We naively thought that our allies would just use the citizenship to garner bonuses for their militaries, and then not care about the politics within that country. We didn’t think they would ever be so bold as to use that gift of citizenship, that gift of resources, that gift of friendship, to take things a step further. To decide that they want a direct line into the heart of our government. To decide they want the same control over the United States that the actual citizens are supposed to have.

The greatest indication of this fact was kindly supplied to me in the form of a rage article by the Greek CP, showing that they have a direct informant in the eUnited States Congress, and then publishing our MPP suggestion and discussion list for the world to see.
Are you okay with that?
Are you fine with the idea that we cannot even have secure discussions in our own private congress?

Anyone in America knows how utterly ridiculous and unstable our congressional elections have become. How vote buying has become a normal practice instead of something to be reviled and rooted out. How American Congressmen with American interests are being defeated by people who contribute nothing to the country, but use foreign people with USA citizenship to vote for them, and then move back to support the actual country they have loyalty to. This status quo cannot continue. It is the road to ruin for our country. It will kill our political climate, it will kill loyalty to the country, it will kill the legitimacy of our elections and our administration, and most importantly, it will kill our Country.

If we do not act now, things will only get worse. People without loyalty to the United States have gathered enough strength that we can no longer block them all from Congress. FEC is no longer an option alone, it cannot fight against the forces of our internal enemies. The only way we can save ourselves, and our elections, is if we are willing to sacrifice. And if we put America in a position where all of our loyalties are tested, and shown to be true.

Therefore, I’m making the announcement that we will be returning Navarre and Asturias to Spain, ending our official 100/100 bonuses, and forcing people to choose. If you truly have American Interests in mind, you will remain an American. If not, leave. It’s fine to disagree. It’s fine to say, “What you’re doing is silly, and it’s going to hurt our country.” In the short term, it will hurt us. We will have to survive it, as we did before. Yet in the long term, we will move forward, and we will return stability to our country.

I’m not afraid to do this. I don’t need to garner the vote of the non-loyal, self serving people who just happen to have American Citizenship. And, I’m not running for President this month. Unlike certain other candidates, I won’t be asking for the job of PoTUS during my college term. If you want to impeach me for it, do it. I’m looking forward to the discussion.
Ask yourself this, why are you here?
Are you here because there’s 100/100 bonuses, or are you here because you love the community, you love the idea of being eAmerican, or you simply love seeing the American flag next to your name. Our 100/100 bonuses are killing that idea, and killing that community, through the introduction of people that have no interest in our country except for the silly little percentage gain they get from it. This is a decision for the greater good of America, and for the continued stability of our country.

The power of a nation exists not in the amount of it weapons, it’s amount of MPPs, or it’s Alliance. The true power of a nation relies entirely on the ardency of it’s citizens, and nothing is a suitable replacement for loyalty.
