So democracy is when you tell the people who they should vote for, because there's only one official candidate in every T5 party? Awkward!

Or maybe those are the people who won their party primaries? Assuming none of the parties did something completely undemocratic, like suspending their primary, of course

Are you talking about the meta-game primaries on the forums? So how many votes did the candidates get? Who was running?

I did and hopefully I will get an answer some day. Meanwhile this farce is becoming even more amusing.

I can only speak on how it was done in my party of course, but we had 2 candidates who were nominated by the general population (not hand-picked, as some would have you believe). Those 2 candidates then faced off in a primary election, open to all party members. The winner was Greene12, who is now our official candidate. Again, can't speak for the other parties, but I imagine most of them do it the same way. Except the party who cries about how un-democratic all the other parties are....they went the dictatorship approach and didn't have a fair and open election....out of what one can only imagine was fear of losing even before the ATO tomorrow

Almost all parties have less the 10% of their members voting on their forums in the primaries. This should be a valid democratic procedure?

So? If those 10% are the active members of the party, shouldn't it be up to them to decide their fate? The last rl US election had just over 50% voter turnout. Unfortunately, that doesn't make Obama any less POTUS. Apathy does not mean undemocratic. On the contrary, it's everyone's right to vote, or to choose to not vote.

Playing the game for fun is fine...but buying into the crap that Free Area and RGR are trying to sell people is stupid. Free the parties and Unity ends. Then no one will have to tell you how to vote.
