Dear UK: Prepare for Your Market to Suck
So, since we last talked, there's been a new training war. This one is between the eUS and eIreland.
All well and good.
UK: We want a piece!
Ireland: Raleigh Treaty!
UK: We'll send the MPP after the war is declared.
eIreland: OK, sounds good.
So then, Ireland invades the eUS, after the MPP passed. The eUS invaded the Shannon so the eUK could be involved, then eIreland proceeded to invade Rhode Island as planned, which activated all of the eUS's MPP's.
There's just one problem:
THE UK CAN NO LONGER TRADE WITH ANYONE IN ATLANTIS. SINCE YOU'RE PROBABLY ALREADY AT WAR WITH PEACE YOU CAN'T TRADE WITH THEM EITHER.
So now you're down to donations for Iron and Diamonds, which you have none of. Weapons companies will ALL have to make contracts for Iron elsewhere and use the donate system (which is a pain in the ass), and you've completely taken away the emergency support option of getting a large company to export on short notice.
Congratulations to whatever MORON planned that. You're economy, and ALL your GM's will thank you.
Sincerely,
Someone who's laughing really hard right now

Dear Dish,
Please do more research before writing.
http://www.erepublik.com/en/USA/law/6223
Dear Publius: The MPP activated in the Shannon battle, so I would check your rules again. They stay active throughout the war.
Nice that the US still has no grasp of game mechanic though
Has the US ever been able to grasp the mechanics of the game?
whoops~!~
lol
Glad you're having fun bashing the eUK, Dish.
Umm...no comment?
@Scott: Glad you're willing to completely overlook the point. But at least we're on the same page.
\o/ Hail the one who killed the UK economy!
Call it karma. I'm sure the Czechos are rolling on the floor ;P
All of the weapon companies owners I know already had iron contracts long before this war came up. Would be stupid to do otherwise.
So other than the fact that beta giants are supposed to know about these sorts of things since they were implemented under your watchful gaze, is there anywhere where the complexities and rules of how the war system, MPP's, alliances, and treaties function are actually explained? The wiki really only teaches you how to click on links and read what's in front of your face...
That being said... lol.
Worry not! Thailand will step into the trade void!
There is always hope, may be Mars would be added next week... o_O
I lol'd.
LOL
poor sara stuck with this new problem ...=p GL!
We ARE economy.
Maybe you should make some embargo's too.
Rotflmao!
well done
lol pawned?
sounds like a mistake...
It was meant to be Ireland vs Canada, but the USA/Ireland went ahead without telling us
I blame malta. He was the one who signed the sodding Irish MPP.
Indie, I told you loads and loads in IRC that it would be the U.S that did it. Malta's Canada one was total bullshit he made up probably.
lol
Oh Man! Brutal!
"USA/Ireland went ahead without telling us"
We told Sara in fact I did so personally.
"I blame malta. He was the one who signed the sodding Irish MPP."
The Raleigh Treaty requires it. The Red Tape to amend it would take us weeks to get through given the amount found in both the Irish and UK Governments.
its temporary. duh.
Um, Colt: Per the rules of MPP's/Alliances (and yes, I even checked again), the MPP with Ireland and the UK remains active. So, until the Ireland/US war closes (which is a waste of money), the UK cannot trade with anyone else in Atlantis.

MPP will remain active forever, Until USA vs Ireland declare Peace treaty lol
unlike PeaceGC wargames http://www.erepublik.com/en/wars/show/66[..]w/660 which was carefully planned, Fatlantis wargames are roflolmao
learn game mechanic first xD
Do people grammar/spell check their articles before publishing them? Or is that a thing of the past?
Do you think about the fact that by far the largest part of eRepublik's citizens is not a native speaker of the English language? Or is that a thing for the future?
Im interested...did Iain Keers as the Minister of Finance know of this...? Or was this a decision made without taking any thought...what seems a typical thing with eUK so far...Anyone want to accept responsibility???
Just read eUK forums. Seems no one is taking responsibility. Not the American, the Irish or us in eUK...so it was them damn mysterons again...
@Jazar: The author's writing style looks pretty Anglo-American to me!
Actually, there's no spelling errors and most of the grammar that you're noticing are game/technical terms.
So try again.
Oh dear, it appears my country is being run my morons both in reality and even online! There seems to be no escape from incompotence these days!
Bring PCP back to presidency!
xD
This is the result of a failure of communication on all sides. However the eUK Government did not intend to be involved in this Training War.
We are now working on a solution to the problem, which should be resolved in 30 hours time. Worst case scenario is that this lasts for three days.
Dishmcds is simply a propaganda mouthpiece for PEACE, so please take his accusations with a pinch of salt
Goku Jones, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
So anyway we elected the right person right? Well mistakes get made it'll be sorted eventually.
Yeah, and there's shocking mistakes going on within some, um, eUK organizations i am involved with. The officials i work with resemble headless chickens, and they told me to do something, and i found i was un able to due to these wars. Let's just say the people in question should definitely have known about all these.
Not good.
Not impressed.
@ Goku Jones: Dishmcds, founder of Atlantis and former president of both the eUK and eUSA you mean?
hahahahahahaha
UK
I think a peace treaty will solve this. If I remember correctly a few weeks ago Canada and the UK were able to leave the Norway-Finland war with a peace treaty despite having activated MPPs with Norway.
The day that I think Dish is a "propaganda mouthpiece for PEACE" is the day that I eat my own hat.
Im guessing that in the end the eUK market will be fine in fact better then fine simply because they will burn there stocks up during this time and there market will become stronger after the war is over simply because demand will be much higher for products that they do not have. This will offer profits to all Atlantis nations that trade with them and an oppertunity for there exporters to capitalize on markets that have been deprived of there products. Yes it might be tuff but smart GM's will hold there own and be ready when they come out of the other side of the storm.
pffff...
i believe it is all down to flying cats, they have caused this i tell you, now i'm off to find my minature giant space hamster he has escaped again
omg...
I lol'd. retards.
You do know its a training war, right?
@ Sovreign: yes
erm... cool yay to the ecomony
