De Hollander, day 2100: What your congress is doing wrong, part II
Flando
In this edition: Total Anarchy?
Two months ago congress voted on "vote: Motion of no confidence Van Spijck VIII".
The motion was accepted by a small margin (Yes/Ja: 5* No/Nee: 4 Abstain/Onthouden: 2) resulting in the immediate removal of the government.
The day after congress voted on "Vote: revoke motion of no confidence Van Spijck VIII". This vote was started 36 minutes too early, but that is of no importance.
This vote was accepted resulting in the government being back in office... wait... what happened?!
There is no option even remotely like revoking a passed motion, this vote was never allowed to start! Was the CoC sleeping? maybe.
Gentlemen, there is no option to revoke a motion.
This is just one example, a strange one, but only one. Why would I write a article named "total anarchy"?
Well, after searching the law I found out that the law about the Motion of no Confidence is crystal clear. Exept for the most important part, which is missing entirely. Which is: what happens after the motion passes?
What happens after the motion passes and a government is removed from office? is there a new government to take its place? Will there be anarchy? Will a god come from the skies to rule us?
There is nothing telling us what will happen, so every option is possible.
Should our congressmen work on this? Well, I'm not here to criticise anyone or to tell anyone to go do something.
But fact is, the motion of no confidence is something that happens a lot (5 votes in 2 months). Therefore, maybe it is time for people to know what will happen.

Comments
Like in the last article, the first part is merely an introduction to the second part.
follow in-game rules? #2 in the elections becomes CP?
that would be just more chaos...
2 other options: new elections (lotta work, cant be done within a 24 hour timeframe)
hand over CP/gov towards keykeeper (bad idea, since keykeepers tend to be old but not superactive players)
Great dictator?
I'm genuinely curious on who will receive this title.
