Days 23-30 -

North America

In the past week, America expelled Indonesia from North America. This is a huge step forward for the Americans, and for TERRA as a whole. The entire Western portion of the United States has been returned to the American’s control. One of the most promising things to happen, was that America actually managed to regain the initiative against Indonesia. This had been one of the primary failings of the United States (and TERRA as a whole), during the initial invasion. Although, much of that can be attributed to ONE having larger targets to worry about.
There is currently a resistance war raging in Wyoming, and the American freedom fighters are working hard to return this region to the United States. Although capturing Wyoming would give the United States a trade route to all the liberated states in the midwest, it would do nothing economically, as America already possess those resources.
From an economic standpoint, the most important regions to attack would be Hawaii (Fruit) or Illinois (Oil).

Present day America

However, in a surprising move the United States has proposed the United Kingdom as Natural Enemy. The proposal is currently failing 3-5, however, Natural Enemy proposals from the president are almost always accepted. We shall see how the voting goes on this measure. If it is successful, The United States would attack Ontario, and try and help the Canadians liberate their nation.
In the past week, the aforementioned Canada, has been once again wiped from the map. However, their situation is improved, as only two nations occupy their country (Poland and the UK).

Canada, and possible American invasion of UK

As was predicted, Poland plowed through Yukon and Alaska, like a fat chick through birthday cake, on their way to China. There was no real stopping the Poles on this maneuver. Just an attempt to slow them down.

South America
The biggest news in this region is that Argentina was almost wiped from the map, after Spain pushed through Brazil, and attacked Argentina. Fighting on two fronts (Peru and Spain), the Argentinians didn’t really stand a chance. They ended up losing all their borders with Spain, which was a blessing, as now the resistance is in full swing. There are two fresh resistance wars opened, one against Peru, and one against Spain. Both are still sitting at 0-0, and this is the Argentinians prime time, so they may have a chance to grab an early lead.

South America

As for the Brazilians, they remain under the thumb of the Spanish. They have seen mitigated success this past week, but have made no real headway.
Another concern for Brazil, is that Indonesia has invaded South Africa. This means that Indonesia now shares a border with Brazilian original regions, and, if Spain were to be expelled from South America, Indonesia could pick up the slack, and invade.

South Africa, with possible Indonesian invasion

Western Europe
Portugal has returned the majority of their regions, and only the Azores and Lisboa are under Mexican control. Portugal had actually pushed into the Mexican mainland, but has since been repelled, and is now being invaded, with an active battle in Alentejo.
As for the rest of Western Europe, France and Germany are still almost entirely occupied by Poland and Hungary. Even with all of the wars in North and South America, and Asia, these two TERRA nations have not been able to regain any regions. At this point, they may be looking at long term damage to their country, as many of their players have likely left their homeland, for greener pastures.

Eastern Europe
This region has finally seen a flare up of activity, mostly between the Romanians and Serbians. This region is generally a hotspot of back and forth activity, but since Croatia and Serbia declared a cease fire, it has been largely dormant.
With Romania attacking Serbian held regions, and also trying to Resistance War their regions back, TERRA may finally have the damage drain they need to aid China.

The clusterfuck that is Eastern Europe. Romania battling back against Serbia

Asia
China is on the verge of being wiped. The situation has worsened dramatically. It was anticipated that Poland, and Hungary would join with Serbia in an invasion of the last TERRA power. This invasion was aided by the old world power of the Iranians. For those that don’t know, in eRepublik’s early stages, Iran had one of the most dominant empires. They were a force to be reckoned with, and made up a large part of the PEACE alliance. Once again, they have been bitten by the bug of Imperialism, and have used the invasion of China to prey on their weaker neighbor, and take a few regions for themselves.

Situation in China

As it stands, China has a few remaining regions in the southern part of the country, but they will likely not last for very long. Poland, Serbia and Hungary still share borders with China, so all still have open wars with the asian superpower. Although, only Serbia is attacking, and they currently hold a 7-0 lead in Guangdong.
In Russia, things also go poorly. They still control a few regions by the Black Sea, but have been unable to liberate any of their regions from Lithuania, Serbia and Poland.
Lastly, India has been almost completely wiped by Pakistan. Not too much to say here. Pakistan is loosely affiliated with ONE, but is by no means part of the alliance. We’ll watch this region, and see what develops here.

Overall Analysis
Well, after a 2+ page Gdoc worth of writing.... Not a whole lot was unexpected. China was unable to stand up to a four pronged assault by ONE. And will likely be wiped within the next few days.
It is good that America is regaining regions, but one can’t help but wonder if some of that damage might be better served in Asia. Just because we didn’t get a ton of allied support in our invasion, doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t drop everything to aid our allies. As was said before the invasion, we have a ton of regions, we can afford to lose a few.
Anyways, America is doing better, Canada is still repressed, and China and Brazil are boned.
We will watch Eastern Europe and South Africa closely to see how this affects those nations involved locally, and the greater war effort.

I’m running for Congress! I will bring the same dedication there, that I do to reporting. But I need your vote! Message me, and I will tell you how you can help me!
