Day 7 - New Hampshire Falls; Spain Invades Brazil!

Day 7 -

North America
The invasion of America has slowed down. The Indonesians have conquered Washington, the planned capital of an Annexed America. This leaves only Nevada left for the Indonesians to attack. After that, they will have complete control of Western America.
Hungary managed to overrun the defenders in Oklahoma, just a short time ago. This leaves Louisiana, as the last bastion of American resistance in the Southeast. The Hungarians will probably wait until later today to start their attack.
Poland captured New Hampshire. This attack happened just after the state had been reclaimed from Canada. The idea had been, to seal off Main, and New Brunswick, giving America a secondary base of operations, once ONE captured the rest of the country. However, thanks to the supreme tanking forces of ONE, New Hampshire was liberated, and subsequently reconquered. This paved the way for Poland to attack Maine, which they have, and currently lead the battle 4-0.
In the war against Spain, South Dakota is the most recent victim, with the freshly liberated state of Wisconsin not far behind. The Spaniards currently hold a lead in the battle, although the Americans have put up a fierce resistance, even winning one round. Also in this war, is the attempt to liberate Iowa. The battle for the Hawkeye State, is heavily in the Americans favor, and even if Wisconsin is lost, Iowa will not be.

South America
Late yesterday, Spain declared Brazil, Natural Enemy, and proceeded to invade the American ally, and Terra powerhouse. Brazil has come under fire recently by Peru, and the addition of a Spanish front, does not bode well for the country. North of Brazil is the site of the Spanish invasion, and although the Brazilians have managed to win a round, the battle is still heavily in Spain’s favor. We may see a heavy tanking effort here, later in the day. If North of Brazil can be secured, than the Brazilians can attack Spain directly, and perhaps drain off some of their damage.
Peru has conquered Parana and Santa Catarina, and is on the verge of capturing Rio Grande do Sul. Brazil has been able to win scattered rounds, but has been unable to mount any sort of feasible resistance.
Argentina, lost their region of Lima, and now faces a sizable invasion by Peru. This comes just days after their announcement to leave Terra. Many had speculated that the country would be safe from invasion, as they have always had good relations with some of the core ONE nations. However, this does not appear to be the case, as ONE backed Peru has seen much success against them.

Western Europe
Portugal lost a very close battle against Mexico. Even though they had a commanding lead going into Mexico’s prime-time, they managed to lose the battle. This gives Mexico initiative in the war, and the possibility to invade Azores, Portugal. Whether or not the Mexicans chose to pursue this course of action remains to be seen.
Also, the UK has reignited their on-again-off-again war with Ireland. They have already conquered Dublin and are marching on Wexford.

Overall Analysis
No pictures today, the map looks pretty much the same, just with less America and Brazil. Overall, the loss of New Hampshire, and the attack on Maine, means that the last hope to keep America on the map, has probably failed. There will be resistance wars, and plenty of them. But whether they can be won fast enough to keep the country on the map, is unlikely.
In the Southern Hemisphere, the addition of a Spanish, Brazilian war could be interesting, although if Peru can see this sort of success against Brazil, then it is likely that the only interesting thing in this region will be how Spain and Peru divide the country.
