Day 50: California Fends Off American Assault
Its been 50 days since PEACE started their invasion of North America with the French invasion of Nova Scotia. Today the war appears far from over as Indonesia has just repelled the U.S. in California and has since launched an attack into Arizona in a move that will force the U.S. back on the defensive. Had the U.S. taken California it would've of meant the likely end of Indonesia in the U.S. however if the U.S. can't pull out a victory in Arizona it will likely put us back on the run and prolong the war even further. Russia will still be blocked by Canada so they won't be able to team up with Indonesia to block us so we still do have a good chance of beating Indonesia if we can just stop them here.
Despite the effort in California PEACE is still having some troubles. Just a few minutes ago Ontario had fallen to Canada. With Ontario back under Canadian control the economy will start to recover and Canada will have a much easier time taking back the rest of their regions with a higher population and stronger economy. The PEACE attacks into Greece and Croatia were also unsuccessful despite early indications that they might succede. PEACE has never really had much success on these fronts though so the failure was expected. Those battles did help out PEACE to some extent though as they drew away F/E troops from California.
The battle to watch right now is the resistance war in Asturias where Spain seeks to liberate the high iron region that is so vital to their economy. Right now there are about 5 hours left and the battle is in the rural area. Asturias has a huge wall and there will likely be a great deal of tanking for both sides so this could easily go either way. Spain also has a resistance war active in Catalonia, a high grain region that is also vital for their economy. While Catalonia is not as important as Asturias it would be a huge win for Spain to secure a high resource region which they have yet to do.
Other then those resistance wars and the battle in Arizona there really isn't much going on today. There are loads of other resistance wars currently active however most of those are simply efforts to keep the Hungarians and Russians from retreating in battles that force them to blocked. Micheal Lewis has started a resistance war in Hawaii as well however this will likely fail with only a few hours left.

Asturias is returned to eSpain. Ontario is returned to eCanada. We're 2 for 3 in the major battles from yesterday and that's a win no matter what happened in Cali.

right now if I was an Eamerican I would apply for citizenship in Canada, it looks like America doesn't stand much of a chance against our PEACE forces now. I love how in real life America is the leading military but here they are becoming one of the weakest.
