It has come, the battle that will determine the very fate of Canada that we all knew was coming soon. At about 7:32 erep time France launched their offensive into the last Canadian region in Ontario, after securing New Brunswick and having Hungary secure North Dakota. Canada's options for survival are limited here, either win the battle and live to fight on tomorrow or lose the battle and give PEACE complete control of Canada. Canada's survival likely comes down to the question of whether or not the U.S. and other F/E countries will divert their armies to help defend Ontario. Without allied support Canada doesn't stand a chance however if Fortis and Eden can rally together they could make a major stop here when they need it most. Unfortunately PEACE has opened up three more battles in the U.S. and launched a second attack into Texas, with the military's focus recently shifting from protecting Canadian regions to protecting American regions over the past few days it is no guarantee that we will help Canada.

PEACE is doing their best to keep pressure on the U.S. and without other countries blocking Russia and France their isn't much slowing down. Yesterday America came under attack in Arkansas, Texas, Maryland, and Wyoming and won the 3 important ones while losing Wyoming however Canada got killed by Hungary in North Dakota and lost to France in New Brunswick. If Canada falls tomorrow then it will greatly increase the pressure on the American front and it will become more difficult for us to get these stops we have been getting recently. While Hungary and France could start taking U.S. regions of Canada were to fall it is more likely that they just hold Canada for a few days first and try and avoid activating the American MPPs. Portugal, Indonesia, and Russia are still continuing their invasions into the U.S. and this morning they attacked Arkansas, Texas, and Wisconsin respectively with Russia launching another attack into Iowa this afternoon.

The wall in Ontario is huge coming in at 378,150 points with the regions being worth over 75,000 points, one of these regions is much higher then the majority of the walls we have seen in this conflict and to date this is the largest wall PEACE has tried to take, rivaled only by California. Should the clock hit 0 and the wall not be in no mans land or the underground the battle will go into over time where it will stay until one country is able to knock it into either NML or the underground. If this happens you can expect a massive tank battle like the ones back in the days of WSR. As of right now the battle is in the rural area and hasn't moved much over the past hour. The walls on the American regions however have been falling. It appears Indonesia has done a bit of tanking in Texas to try and draw some U.S. soldiers away from Canada, yesterday Texas was well into NML at this time but it appears that PEACE will try make the U.S. decide between keeping one of their key regions in Texas or defending their allies last region in Ontario.

Politically the U.S. is disadvantaged right now as well with the presidential elections occurring. Emerick currently has a nice 10% lead over the incumbent HR which means that if his lead holds he will become president and commander in chief of the armed forces mid battle. While the change of presidents should go smoothly it puts us at a disadvantage today as both presidents will have to give out orders and if Emerick and HR don't agree on where to defend there could be disastrous consequences. Nevertheless Emerick is a great leader and will make a great president, I may of endorsed Joshua Hoss but Emerick was a very close second and he will have my support 100%. I will keep this updated throughout the day and have battle links up shortly.
