Day 11 - The War Wallows in Stagnation

Day 11 -

North America

After the rousing victory in North Dakota yesterday, the Americans tried to parlay that win into another against Poland. The target region was Maine. And although the nation rallied, in the end it was not enough, and they fell 6-8 to Poland. However, within the past hour, another resistance was started in Maine. We will have to wait and see how this one goes.
In the southwest, Indonesia has attacked the freshly liberated Arizona. They will have no problem steam rolling the United States. Hungary is in the attack queue for this region, meaning that they are prolonging the war without losing initiative. Once Indonesia conquers Arizaon, expect Hungary to attack Texas. It is highly likely that the United States will let Texas go, because it would mean an end to the war. Then, America could focus on using Resistance wars to retake the south.
Spain is about to conquer North Dakota, continuing the theme of not only how shitty eRepublik’s war module is, but the fact that the United States cannot hold onto any region they win.

South America
There is good news in South America though. Brazil has retaken two more regions from Peru. Things appear to be turning around for the nation, and this is promising for the alliance as a whole. However, South Africa has invaded Brazil. The two nations had previously had an alliance, although that may have expired, or South Africa may be under pressure from ONE. South Africa is attacking without a single ally though, so this may be a way for Brazil to quickly resistance one of their regions back, should they need it.

Europe
The Portuguese won in Centro, and are currently focusing on a resistance war in Azores. This will cutoff Mexico from receiving any economic bonuses, if Portugal can prevail.
In other European news, the Americans have made a failed attempt to liberate Brittany. This would end the border that Poland has with North America, and help pave the way for a unified America. Expect another resistance in this region.

Overall Analysis
What else is there to say? The Americans win a highly contested resistance war, and within a day, they lose the region 8-0 or 8-1. They simply cannot win conventional battles. And until they can, this war will continue in this sort of stagnation.
Hopefully, Brazil can pull it together in the Southern Hemisphere, and come to America’s aide.
